Hello,

Just upgraded my Naza V2 to 4.04 after upgrade assitant 2.4 reports the following error....

Error[80] none

And the led on the naza continuesly flashes rapid red.  I have tried the update several times< i have also tried resetting to default (resetting to default is broken it doesnt reset anything) before upgrading and have also run compass and imu calibrations.  Still get the error and the red light.

Seems to be a bug in the firmware I see some others have the same issue....


What is the fix please?

Does anyone know how to downgrade to 4.02?

Yes, connect F1 and F2 with a servo cable. With Assistant v2.2 you can Flash 4.02 again. Remove servo cable before power cycle.

my to Naza 4.04 Error[80] none after upgrade + led red flash

What is error 80? Who knows what it even means? And has anyone flashed back to 4.02 and get their naza running again?

Sometime I got error 79, it also is "none" error, I think that mean we have no error =)) because I still can arm motor and take off.

For flashing back to 4.02 just use Assistant 2.20 and upgrade . I did that to my Naza and downgraded to 4.02 successfully, now my Naza fly as good as before upgrading to 4.04

It's not necessary to connect F1 and F2 with a servo cable, I think that process is necessary for Lite not for original V2. I downgraded my V2 from 4.04 to 4.02 without connecting F1 and F2, just use Assistant 2.20 and select upgrade.

I still have no solution for error 79/ 80  

I think we have to give DJI some wake up calls to get a answer.

Ok, i got a answer from DJI Support.

DJI is working on a solution, you can help DJI if you mail the Serial number and the bootloader version of your NAZA what have the problem.

instead of generating this paranoia and speculation in all forums, it would be easier to say "we are still investigating, what happens"....

DJI kow's the probem and work on a solution.

If you have this error[80] Problem, post  a screen shot (Assistant) with the update page.

I will send it to DJI to the right Person.

I have NM V2, and recently upgraded to 4.04. I got the dreaded red flash - even though the motors would still spin up okay.  I carried out a full IMU calibration, and the problem seemed to resolve.  After unplugging everything and starting again, though, the problem came back.  I got the [80] error, but also got "other error"; what's that all about?!  I reinstalled Assistant 2.20, stepping back from 2.40, and via that I went back to 4.02.  Problem is cured.
On another note, is there going to be 'FPV' mode for H3-2D?

I found out that after the upgrade all working OK.
But if you press the button SET at the gain TAB for the angular rate then you get the error 80.
So I guess the developers of dji must see and debug the button event!
I will try to make a flight to tell how it flies with the default values of P150, R50.

The rumors say's all NAZA's with error[80] problem need send to DJI for exchange......  And where has no warranty  get fucked up......

DJI fix it now. Install firmware 4.06 this works, no problem.

Is Flight limits back?

Can somebody help me please. I think my naza m lite (w/o gps module) got bricked because of failed firmware upgrade. (fw 4.04)

I already tried shorting f1 & f2 for hard reset (based from youtube tutorials), but nothing happens, the software assistant cannot detect it anymore.

Do I need to buy gps module for Hard reset to work?
