You cannot post the actual video. You have to post the link (URL) to a video. If you upload the video to YouTube, you can then post the URL here and everyone else can see it.

I'm an expert and I know this. Uploaded my first one today - LOL!

Seemed like it took forever, but it's actually not that bad.

Is there a way to set the default video quality for YouTube, or does each viewer have to click on HD every time?

So if the tree is in between you and your P3 during an RTH, can you move away from the tree into a safer area, reset the HOME spot, and have the drone land there.

Umm . . what if you lose the connection and the P3 returns home automatically?  Because you have lost the connection, you won't see the tree (or the building, or whatever).  And if your RTH altitude isn't high enough, the P3 will hit any obstacle in the way.  That's the whole point of setting RTH altitude, as I understand it . . . to set it higher than any nearby obstacles.

OK, so that tree is 55m or 180 ft.  I challenge anyone on this forum to post similar footage of a taller tree

Personally, I think your an idiot for flying that close to power lines and trees. If you keep that up we'll see you on the news, and it will be bad New's!

If you are taking off that close to the tree, there is a very good chance the craft is going to come down very close to the tree no matter  how high you've set your RTH altitude?  I've practiced several RTH landings and there are many times an error of +/-10m from the point I set.  I'm suggesting if you really HAVE to launch next to a tree that big or power lines and you do lose contact, trying to get to a safer point to reset your RTH point with the RC in case you get brief contact with the craft again.

I'm a complete novice with these drones so I am trying to learn more here in n the forums before making real world mistakes.

I think he was just showing us the tree and why he set his RTH that high. I doubt he flies near that tree often.
