Reading of so many firmware updates and P3 flying went bad...that I thought perhaps better apply (now) some simple precaution to my gimbal in case the P3 would crash or smash against some obstacle...
Nothing new I know...but still....worth to try!

Cheers!

I was thinking of something similar, but just using the zip-tie straight and cut the head of another and zip it on loosely, then cut to length.

After I install those 2 zip ties on my bird, don't want to be able to answer your question.  But .50 to save over $500 is a good cost/benefit ratio!

I tested that too...but in order to do so, I need a much bigger plastic tie...so....more heavy.... my little ties are really light and loosed enought to leave free gimbal movement

Cheers!

Those ties need to be very loosely wrapped. If they're too tight, they defeat the purpose of the shock absorbers! if you "cinch" the gimbal down tightly you're going to introduce jello!
