I Bought my unit in the spring of this year. I have not had any 'flight' problems.
Today I could not up-grade the firmware for my batteries. I have the 1.5 loader attached to my system.
I have also been told my batteries are (old style and) known to FAIL in FLIGHT and, to stay grounded UNTIL DJI replaces my excisting batts.
What is the deal with this? Puleez...

Who told you that ?
My V+ bought in July has loader 1.5 and the batteries were 2.0.0.0 updated to 2.6.0.0 without any problems.
Download the latest assistant for your model and you will be able to update everything.

I get better info on Fb PV2+ page than anywhere else. I cannot up-grade my battery firmware.
I have all the latest up-dates. Guy seems to know as I posted pics and he could identify the problem right away.
My firmware up-grade was not specific about 'loader 1.5' being not compatible but, other loaders were.
As well, he told me to stay grounded till I get new units. No one is refuting this claim, and there are a lot of flyers on this page.

I bought my v2+ in April 2014 and bought 4 batteries at the same time.  I did the upgrades when they came out and no problems have occurred.  Now have loader 1.5 and the batteries were 2.0.0.0 updated to 2.6.0.0.  They all work as advertised.

What country are you in? What I am saying is that I CANNOT up-grade my batteries. I am looking for solutions, NOT 'mine are fine' wtf is wrong with yours.
THIS is the DJI forum. AND it appears to be pretty much useless, gauging the total lack of administrator input, or any other useful dialogue.
I get that we may have the same product HOWEVER, in MY case the up-grades DO NOT WORK.

What we are saying is that information is false and the upgrades DO work.  You must be doing something wrong, Give us a more detailed step by step in doing the upgrades, what model of the phantom you have and anything that might pertain to your upgrades, so we might be able to determine what you might be missing.  It is very hard to help when you just say you cannot upgrade.
I'm in the US by the way and not sure where John is.

Can I down grade transmitter firmware .. said needed to be NEW TX maybe mine ids old TX

This is horrible

Tried for 20 hours to fix this .. tried everything and do not know how to reverse the firmware

You have the regular Phantom 2.  The phantom 2 vision plus does not have the slider for the camera and the v3 has the little wheel at the upper left hand corner of the tx and 4 lights at the on switch.  when you upgraded, you were given the option to do the upgrade for the batteries or use the standard upgrade.  Which one did you select?  I think you selected the upgrade version for the batteries.

YES, had no idea that an upgrade selected by their own firmware could damage your system, pretty poorly conceived. I guess you agree with that. What I am asking is what to Do NOW ? I did upgrade the battery is suggested to upgrade it. Been flashing firmware onto flight controllers for years, with 100's of multirotors NEVER seen this crap before.


Was trying to find how to reflash with working / matching firmware which worked

Will check back later hoping you can give me a suggestion for rolling back firmware or something

This is a thread to support battery issues, as it is headed in main forum section. I assume the Vision is supported also, same flight controller, different camera and wifi etc ...same aircraft.
