When i was on my vacation i met with ray from this forum and we flew toghter and it was awsome to say the least, and in this video is the highlight of our adventure into the mountains of west virginia, we were at 3000 feet altitude to start with and i was not fortunate to have low clouds, they were soaring very high, enjoy the video.

Thanks LOL we were out-numbered by the trees, in that area there is more trees than humans and no cell phone service, i was able to go out  8000 feet with no video loss.

oh please dont even mention trees, i told u the story about my kids hubsan x4 so i ll tell u guys too.
just got my kids hubsan x4, man if u can fly this sob u can fly anything. SOB flew away and is up a 50' tree that was out of its range, 200' away, the only ....... tree in 2000 miles. SOB!!! i think i ll send my p3 to look for it in the tree, NOT!!!!

A little off subject but,  Son flew his first drone a CX-20 into a tree and got it stuck on a branch over 50 feet high.  Hired a tree trimmer to retrieve the drone who used a single rope to climb up and free the drone.  Paid him 20,000 or about $7.00 for the most dangerous work I have ever seen.

I too enjoyed it very much and it was awesome, you might have noticed in the video there was forest fire in the video when we did the 8000 feet stretch, and after you left and i was done packing the park rangers stopped by to look at the forest fire from the outlook, great timing LOL

i know, willie did a great job, when i filmed him i was way too far away and his p3 is a spec in middle of my screen. i just didnt want to ruin everybodys day!! BTW, willie, i Will send you the best parts and u can edit them into your video. just need time which i just dont have!!!

I knew it will draw attention, i think i am getting better at this LOL and i am glad that was able convey my vision while i am still a greenhorn rookie in film making let alone a flying camera.

I am having a blast and thanks to ray for coming all the way down there to fly with me since that was the first time ever i saw him.

Perhaps using FPV whilst flying through the trees ...

If I had an analog fpv camera mounted on it I would have gone through the trees at 20mph, but due to the 200 milliseconds lag of the lightbridge I opted to keep my phantom in one piece lol

2 or 3 together in a group with another filming?

Oh that's on my agenda already as I am recruiting flyers and trying to send a message to people that there is so much to explore and anything can be the center of attention, it's what you make of it that counts, i think up to five can fly at the same time with no significant packet loss as if we do a correct manual channel spacing.

Willie,  please let us know if you get a couple of pilots to fly together or more in a formation and how the channel issue worked out.

I already tested with Ray and we both went out 8000 feet following each other with no problems, I will measure the bandwidth of the channel and depending on that we can calculate how many can fly at the same time with no issues.

I used the follow mode, I don't know why they have the fpv mode anyways as it's useless to me.

Very, very enjoyable! Best I have seen in a while. My family watched this
