Is it only me or the gimbal settings (the screen with 3 possible configurations) is not saved (nor the pitch limit app switch)

(P3P + iPad Air + everything up to date but I had to reconfigure everything : failsafe height, max height, gain & exp settings.)

Hi everyone.

Will this solve the "No signal - Disconnect"  message on the DJI GO app.??
Because with the current firmware 1.320.  when i hover the aircraft i can see video but after lets say 1 minute the video freez no video feed.
But the strang part is i am able to fully control the aircraft with my RC.

Second part is when i record in 4k  and i want to vieuw the videos on my laptop i have to open the files in Quicktime.
But ive noticed the videos are playing very slowly it does not go smoothly is  this because im having the " No signal - Disconnect " message ???

This is very frustrating, i hope the new firmware will fix the problem!!!

P3A updated the 1.4.0010
iPhone 6 app updated to app ver. 2.2.0

Can't update the Remote. The app doesn't show the update and the remote won't start the update from USB as well. I have the latest firmware on the remote before this new one.

Any ideas?

Hi Sploodge,

I just updated and tried the 'point of interest' and 'follow me' functionality.  The former worked great.

I tried the 'follow me' mode twice. Each time it started to work (about 5 seconds or so) and then dropped out with an error that referenced GPS signal being insufficient and to try again when GPS signal is stronger (apologies for not noting the exact message).  A glance at the GPS info on the app showed 15 satellites (if memory serves).

I have P3 Advanced, Android platform, latest app (2.1.0) and firmware (aircraft 1.04.0010, remote 1.3.20).
Using an Verizon Ellipse Android (ver 4.4.2) tablet.  I've been using this tablet for a few weeks. After disabling many background services/tasks, it has been behaving (previously the DJI GO app locked up from time to time).

My aircraft firmware update went smoothly and I cleared the log before attempting flight.  It currently contains the following:
========== 2015.09.07 11:32:01 =====================
Packet: P3X_FW_V01.04.0010.bin
Result: Abort.
The firmware on the SD card is identical to or older than the current firmware on the aircraft.

I'm happy to retrieve log data or try again or whatever would help.

Thanks a bunch for the increased functionality!

Jon

The 4K issue is probably your laptop...I have an i7 with 8 gigs of ram, but the video processor (intel HD4000) can't handle the high framerate/resolution of any 4K video.  You need a codec and graphics card that support full 4K playback.

Hey Everyone,

I hope everyone is have a wonderful day flying around. I have a question. Can 2 modes be used at the same time? Here is what I want to do:

Send the p3p out on a waypoint flight, have it circle a POI, then hit another waypoint, circle and have her come home to me. Is this a possibility?

Thanks,
Tony

Hi

I've just updated my P3A (1.4.0010) and DJI GO app on my iPad. Everything seems to be OK (flight, POI, WP are OK) but, in the DJI GO app, the "Overall status" window is always black. Is it normal ?

Thanks

Is it a really loud bip bip bip ( more loud that the one before you aborted the firmware? )

If it is, let it go for about 10 minutes, it should continue to update.

RC update issue?

1: Phantom 3 Version: Advanced
2: App Platform: iOS, latest version 2.2
3: Mobile Device type: iPad Air

+ Aircraft firmware update was successful
+ RC firmware does not update using either method (app or USB)
+ App gives me message “RC requires upgrade” and that I need to update using USB method (and says the RC doesn’t support FW upgrade through app)

Please let me know if you have any suggestions.  Thanks!

Ok, I thought I'd contribute to this discussion, below example of my positive experience with the update, no problems at all.

P3A
IOS, DJI app updated prior to firmware upgrade
ipad mini 2
log text file = success
video? I made a short one but won't benefit anybody (just made fun of it making atari loader noises).
I updated the dji go prior to upgrading the firmware. Went into app store, searched for DJI GO and did an update (did not remove it)

OBSERVATIONS
about 7 mins after flight leds switch off
then at 12 minutes start flashing again
then camera rolls down (gimbal power cut off)
then re positions itself (after 10-20 secs)
Long beep two short ones, yellow leds flashing, green led constant on camera platform = OK to switch off (make sure no red on camera platform).
takes approx 14 mins of updating for the P3A
used 7% of battery for for the update process

ANd remember to go through all your settings again!

Updated to 1.4 today.  The P3P took the update with no issue.  The batteries also updated properly.  However, I cannot get the controller to update at all.  I've tried a card reader, a USB drive with the .bin file in the root directory and I've tried via direct connection with the P3P.  The controller powers up, shows red on the left LED and the four power LEDs are all lit.  It makes no noise, the lights do not flash or change to blue and there seems to be no way to get the update to go.

My version is too old to use the DJI app to update (I tried and it told me I would have to manually update the controller).  In the DJI app, it shows that the app version is 1.2.0 and the firmware is 1.2.6.  What am I doing wrong?

jerry486 - The .bin file on the USB is totally alone - the ONLY file on the USB at all.  Powered up and it did nothing to start the update.

Foxcave - thanks so much for the response.  When I power up the app, it tells me that the RC needs to be updated.  In "overall status" it says "Updates Required".  It then takes me to a page that says "The RC is required to update, please check the firmware upgrade tutorial videos in Academy."  Below that, it says "THe RC doesn't support upgrading firmware through the app, please upgrade the firmware with USB Disk".  The USB disc won't update, nor will it update via direct connection to the P3P.

Using Android / Google Nexus 7 (in case that matters at all).
