My Dji Phantom 2 with the new controller is not responsive to the controller after I updated the firmware 3.14, a yellow light is blinking. On the controller the green power light is also now blinking. Can you please assist.
Is there a way to get the Phantom 2 back to its factory settings?

Plug back to the assistant and see what the error is. Sounds like a possible calibration needed of the RC sticks and a compass calibration of the quad. If all else fails  download the firmware again fromDJI and redo the upgrade . After the upgrade completed satisfactory do an RC stick calibration. Then an IMU calibration, quad needs to be cooled down. Then outside a compass calibration. The IMU cal the quad needs to be perfectly level fro to back and side to side .be sure the controller has good batteries or if the newer model is fully charged also. That should correct your problem.

Your Phantom is not seeing the RC!
You said your Phantom with the "new controller",
Sounds like you need to rebind the Remote Control....
Check pg. 18 or 19 of the manual...

One more time,
Turn everything off..
Turn on Phantom..
Push reset button on Phantom till itlittle light flashes..
Then turn on RC....

Other than that, are you sure you have the right RC? Why did you change it?
Any issues with the Phantom prior? Also, did you check for update on the RC when plugged the RC In the RC assistant?

Not sure what else to suggest..except follow this link...it is a last resort in my opinion...unless of course if your Phantom is new that you return it for exchange or refund...

Is there another way to reset it or to downgrade the firmware. I don't want to open my phantom 2

I am not sure there is a downgrade option. You would have to try to download the previous version if still on the website..
We need more info..
Please confirm exact model P2, RC etc. Picts might help.
It is clear the problem is the RC is not communicating with the Phantom..
Are you in Phantom or NAZA mode?
Do you have the right RC selected as there are two choices in the software depending on the model you have..
See screen shots here of my set up with 3.12.

Below is a link to a thread with a write up I did for the firmware update..it has worked perfectly for me...

I couldn't get my new remote to connect as well. Btw the only way to do a hard reset on the phantom is to open it and jumper two pins on the controller

Here's what I did
Turn phantom on
Turn controller on make sure it's 3-4ft away from the phantom
Press link till it flashes
Link will turn green
Power cycle both
Recalibrate  remote in phantom software
Recalibrate in remote software

After this it worked but tilt wheel was not smooth
Did a remote calibration without software. Everything was perfect after this

Worked for me maybe it will for u

Hard Reset is your only option at this point unless we have seriously overlooked something,
Otherwise return to seller for refund or send to DJI for repair...

Go onto the DjI website and download the manual...all of the codes/light sequences are covered in the manual...if your sequence is not there then it is something else and likely needs repair...

I feel your frustration.  Went through all of the same trials and tribulations and finally sent my Phantom and RC back to the dealer (multirotorheli.ca).  Frustration continues as it has been almost six weeks and no response from them either.  Pretty much went the whole summer without being able to use the drone.

Jay,
He stated he has not received it back yet, so no, not fixed..

Do yourself a favor..
Double check all external connectors on the Phantom..look real close! And make sure they are in...and inspect your external antennas on the Phantom...then try again, if not...
Take the RC apart (carefully) and inspect that the connectors are all on, there are 4 of them if I recall and there is not a lot of room to work but may be worth a look as I do recall someone posting a while back about a loose connection in their RC..

Sorry, no can do..I do not store specific threads based on problems though that would be a nice feature..
You will have to do some of your own digging to see if you can find it..

Did you buy your Phantom new?

How long have you owned it?

Have you ever crashed it?

Has your Phantom or RC ever been exposed to water?

Anything else you can tell us about the Phantom or the RC?

I want to know when the controller power light is blinking green what does that mean

you know, when i was doing some rc testing with my phantom powered off, after a few minutes IIRC the green lite in rc unit began to blink....  i found somewhere this means the rc is timing out after being on and no connection to phantom AND NO STICK MOVEMENT.  so normal just stating no connection.

iirc moving a stick stopped the rc blinking for another 3-4 minutes.

did u use the software to test?

plug phantom into dji assistant:  goto rc calibratioin pages:  move sticks, switches - does assistant see them move?  if not, confirms no connection between rc and phantom.

next, download the new dji rc calibration program. plug in rc to it.  move sticks, switches.  dos program see them moving?

at least you can maybe figure out at least if it is the phantom or rc issue....

Was your controller working before the update??

Or is this a brand new controller??
You know there are 2 variants right?? 2.4GHZ (non vision-go pro), and 5.8Ghz (Vision series-all in one DJI cameras).
Flip the controller over and tell us the model.
