When connected first time, Message on interface of Assistant at top = Flight Controller was locked

PLEASE HELP

Compass is calibrated, error is fixed. RC is also connected (Bound) .. Turns out the problem solving involved, " doubleclick the words "Flight controller was locked", then go through simple process to reset information and rebind. Problem solved". THAT'S nice. Why did I have the problem in the beginning ?


Hope I didn't waste anyones time.
What caused this incident?
NEW Flight Controller out of the box for 5 minutes, connected to computer,
BANG, almost first thing I seen. "Flight Controller was Locked" .
Searched the internet for this phrase associated to DJI A2, nothing came up.
Is it in the manual anywhere, did I miss it, if it is?

The flight controller was not functional. It was locked, seriously locked. FYI

On a first config or reload of the firmware the controller is always locked. This is to confirm that the end users knows that they must configure and calibrate the controller before their first flight.

It's just a safety measure
