I think i made a good choice so far by buying the phantom, comparing both the solo looks and feels toyish. The solo owner was surprised when he saw the ipad screen of the dji app and was surprised how i hand catch the phantom, overall i think he is going to return that solo to best buy LOOOOOOL !

Sweet flying skills!  That "other" UAV looks kinda plain,  with all of the fuss, I expected something with "glowing tentacles" or something   LOL

Yeah me too i thought it was going to be more brighter and have better maneuverability, BUT its black i was having a hard time locating it in the sky, hard time seeing the beacons, hard time keeping track of it as it was wobbling in the air like an uncalibrated mess.

It reminds me of flying my parrot AR drone version 1 LOL, seriously the guy had the backpack too and it was twice the size of my phantom backpack.

The disappointed look on his face was priceless LOL , i felt sorry for him and told him to start looking for that receipt LOL

Thank you , Yeah he is a new pilot and i was coaching him and giving him guidance on flying calm and relaxed and this video is a result BUT the solo flight controller is making it hard for people to keep a heading thats why there is so many crashes.

He will, he went today and got the gimble for the solo and mounted his go pro and tested it, no matter what it is having a mind of its own and the flight time decreased because the gimble charges the go pro while flying....... etc.

Nice video.. I have a little footage of flying with a solo too. They were having all sort of issues back then but its ok cause the person had a P3A too.

So what did you use for your editing?  I really gotta save up my pennies so I can leave dad's P3P on the shelf and fly more!

I used Final Cut Pro X this time instead of iMovie as I am trying to see which is better suits me either Final Cut Pro or premiere pro.

I did not want to risk crashing it, the remote feels like a cheep usb recharge coaxial heli IR remote plus the HUD on the iPad is disgusting, i can go on for a while ....  bottom line just following with my phantom was nerve recking because of the instability it had, did not want to try it myself, you know what if he offers next time ill try and let you know LOL

Nice sunset stills, and overall very nice quality on the video, i thought i was going to see a whole lot of solo lol but i guess a second or to is more than enough as it can't fly more than that LOL
