Whats the best way to discharge the battery?
By any chance there is a way to discharge it without turning on the copter?

Thanks in advance!

I discharged one of my batteries to 5%.  I got a warning about possible cell damage.  Upon recharge the phone software now says there IS cell damage and not to use the battery.

So be careful.  Still waiting on an answer from DJI on this.

I'm pretty skeptical about just leaving the Phantom turned on to discharge the battery.  I've noticed the top get very warm when I've had the Phantom 2V+ plugged into the computer using the Vision Assistant.  I'm guessing it's the video transmitter because I've noticed the upgraded v3 now has holes in the video transmitter case, presumable for ventilation.  I'd opt for flying in a hover so the moving air will keep the internal components cool.
