Hey DJI guys... get on with a camer setup video or discussion.

We are having issues with exposure when working in varying lighting conditions.  The camera has auto ISO in Aperature and Shutter Priority... it needs it in Manual.

If we were given a firmware update with ISO Auto in Manual it would allow constant shutter and aperature will making suddle lighting adjustments with ISO solve the problem.

What setup are the DJI Pro Shooters using for varying lighting conditions.

The point of manual mode is to keep all the settings constant until you choose to change them.
Yes, that makes it less appropriate for changing light conditions.

Jim will have experience with managing exposure in variable conditions.

Most modern cameras made in the last 2 years (im sure even older ones too) have auto ISO, even in manual. I understand the purpose of manual mode, but auto iso is a great tool to have. you don't always have the moment to nail the right iso, if needed. I Feel shutter and aperture is usually an area we want to have fixed. I agree, Auto ISO in manual mode would be welcomed.

With the camera in shutter priority mode, having the aperture as the variable for exposure (with auto iso on or off) is noticeable, you can see when it steps in different F stops. It would be great to have the Aperture and shutter locked in and have the ISO be the variable, especially if it can step in 1/3 increments. im sure it should only need to be a Firmware update to get that feature. But I may be wrong.

Confirmed, No auto ISO on my X5 when in Manual mode. only aperture and shutter priority.
DJI, do you think this can be done with a Firmware update?

Help please!

I have been having all kinds of issues lately.  I have been a professional shooter for over 20 years. My first drone was the DJI S1000.  I'm now flying the inspire 1 pro with the x5.  First of all, DJI go app is totally and completely not working on my iPhone 7+.  I spent two hours on the phone with DJI about this and apparently since the last update, they screwed things up again.

What started the all was this. I'm shooting  photos in Shutter priority at dusk. ISO set to auto and trying to attempt the AEB 5 exposure. Well, I found out that ISO will not go over 400 when in auto. While shooting, dusk is a very limited time event. The exposure looked great on the phone but everything was under exposed by 3-4 stops when opened on a computer.  While on the phone with DJI, my app completely crashed. This is when I was told that the go app doesn't work with iPhone 7+. Their solution was to go to a different device. I tired my ipad set up only for flying, but was told that the ipad was maxed out and doesn't run correctly.  Another WTF moment!  So I started using litchi, with my iphone and it ALMOST works.  Again another issue with the iso only opening up to 400 when on auto and the display on the phone doe NOT represent the exposure that is actually being taken. I was changing the iso myself and still no reaction on screen. The histogram wasn't reacting either.

Is anyone else having this issue?

Thank you!
