I have come very close to purchasing the Osmo for a trip we are taking next spring, but given all of the reported issues I am very hesitant to order one so early in production.  It sounds like perhaps DJI released this before they had done sufficint troubleshooting.  The problem is that there just isnt anything on the market that seems to be in the same league.  I just dont understand how a company with this much experience in stabilized photography could be having so many problems with this unit.  I am almost tempted to try a GoPro with one of the gimbal units available.  Wonder when V2 will be available?

As far as the Osmo is concerned, I'd wait. I am very disappointed with mine. Does not seem to be giving me the results I expected (nor anything like some *good* examples posted on here).

I'd also avoid buying into the GoAmateur ecosystem, if you can.
