i was flying my phantom 3 advanced, and wanted it to come back to the home point, so i pushed the RTH button on the rc , it was a nnormal SOFT press , then it just got misplaced and went inward!!!

so i called dji, they said they will send me a shipping label so i can send it for repair, lets see whats gonna happen

I have the SAME problem with P3P. I've had it for about a month.  Things should hold together longer than that. Any issue under 90 days should just be replaced right from the get go.

Ah, that's disappointing to read and see. Hope that you get it replaced in due course and are back up and flying again real soon.
I suppose that you could still safely fly with it like that, but if you ever lost connection of the app, you may need that button in an emergency situation.

Sadly, you might be grounded until the radio controller has been replaced and sent back, for you to use.

Yep, looks like a weakness in the transmitter design.  It happened to me and I returned the unit to the dealer, they returned it to DJI and they sent me a new transmitter. The whole thing too around 3 weeks.  Hope they do the same for you.

i know!!!!

this looks like a real problem !!!! i think dji should call back all RC's,,, i promise i didn't apply any force, it was a normal press on the button , almost like a touch!!!! then felt the button sank inwards!!!

I've had my Phantom3 Pro since April and have about 285 flights and have used the RTH button many times showing people how it works. I've never had an issue. It seems to be a very isolated issue and DJI will take care of it. The remote control comes with a 1yr warranty.

Hello, I'm new to the Forum. I've had my P3P for a month. When I read this post I looked at my RC to check the RTH button. I have not used the RTH button in the short time I've had the P3P. When I pressed the button it did the same thing.

I contacted DJI and they  emailed me ihe information to send the RC in for repair/replacement. Sorry that my first post was to report a problem, I have been very happy with the P3P so far.

My controller got to Carson, CA. today. Seven day trip one way from Kentucky. Does anyone know what DJI does to fix this issue? Is it caused by over tightening the screws or is an issue with the plastic being too brittle?

Ken, Would it be too much trouble to check my controller also an make sure they don't return it with out repairing it. my RMA # is 234495. It has the same issue that golfking 02 has.

Ken,

I sent my P3P in last week and it is scheduled to arrive by the 31st.  It is coming in because it fell from the sky when the battery shut off.  After reading all these posts concerning controller issues with the RTH can you please have mine looked at while it is there?  My RMA is 1222201526982235998.
