Hi,
You can control this to an extent: .On the left hand side of the screen the second icon (slider bars image) lets you in to the exposure settings screen. Select S then choose your shutter speed. The ASA rating will do the exposure adjustment while keeping the shutter constant. Bear in mind that the auto range will now be limited as you have fixed one of the parameters. The actual speed of adjustment is affected by the light variation.
If you select a spot point using the yellow circle and position this on the main tonal area then the auto system will have less to accomodate and be smoother on exposure.You can also select M (manual ) and manually adjust your exposure so that there are no variations. Hope this helps.
