Have the e800 propulsion system, but using a different FPU. On the esc's, there is no UBEC, but the 620S's have the red and black wires along with the orange signal wire going to the FPU. The question is do the red wires provide another signal set, and if they do have other signals. Are the signals compatible with other FPU's, or is it a proprietary system. The active braking and the tuned propulsion system, are they used without these red and black wires.

The black wire looks to be a ground. Is that wire hooked up to the esc power ground, or should I route that wire too, to the FPU.

That red wire don't provide any signal or voltage, you can cut it. Yello wire is for signal transmittion, red wire is VCC, brown wire is ground.
