From my understanding, the only difference (besides color and gimbal locks) is the fixed focus. Is it true the Inspire x3 focus is set to infinity while the Osmo X3 is something like 3-4 ft? Or, are they 100% identical? Just curious. thank you.

The mechanical structure of the Osmo‘s camera is designed for hand held use. The 3-axis gimbal can be flattened and locked, and the orientation of the tilt motor has been changed. There are many small changes inside the camera and gimbal as well.
The Osmo's camera is focused at 1.5 meter and beyond.

So what, then, would be the functional difference?  The "end result" differences we might see?  Are we really sacrificing much by using our Inspire camera?

After updating the firmware to the latest one on Inspire 1, the X3 white camera is compatible with Osmo handle, you can control the camera freely.
