So,Ripping apart my DJI standard remote (Shh don't let them know), and one key thing I cannot find any information on is the dBi for the 2.4ghz and 5.8ghz .

Why you ask?, well.. Went and added in the Argtek range extender to a DJI Phantom 3 Standard and the antenna that come with it, might be just a tad cheap/weak or they are just right for the remotes specs.

So surfing Amazon for a set of new panels and dual band antenna but not sure what the dBi cap the remote itself has.

So is the argtek worth doing then ?

For me it has been perfect.  Others report that the DBS mod is far better, but I did not go that route.
If you do get one, here are some tips.
Make sure that you reseal the connectors in the controller to prevent signal leakage.
I used hot glue.
If you want to go the other route, here is the link.

Yup.  Before Argtek I never got farther than 600m now I get 2700m.

So that's near 4 times better. However its a good idea as some areas have high terrestrial interference and the extra signal gives you an added safety margin so you won't lose signals so easily in areas with T.I.
