Hi Guys

I particularly looking for some information from some of the folks at DJI

I am wondering why the 120fps crops into a smaller frame on the Phantom 4. It would be nice to have full frame 1080 120fps but im assuming there must be a reason for the crop

Thanks
Warren

Yes, you are right. 120fps is cropped. And also it lose data quality. For example 1080p/25fps is about 25mbit/s, 1080p/50fps is about 40mbit/s but 1080p/120fps is only 12.5mbit/s! It is really too low.

Also there is a problem about frames - video comes out of Phantom already slowed down. It hasnt all those frames in it.

It is about what you call "full HD". If you mean 1920x1080 dimensions than yes - Phantom 4 shoots 1920x1080 120fps videos. But it has very low bitrate, it uses only crop of the sensor and video is not saved as professional cameras (like Alexa, Red etc.) do.
