I'll be heading into the desert for a 2-day expedition and plan to bring the Inspire along for some desertscapes.
Keeping in mind that I have only one battery, I was thinking of getting a 12V 150W power inverter (the kind used to power laptops from a 12V socket) to plug the Inspire charger into to recharge the batteries while I'm on the move.

Either the PI-75, PI-150, or the PI-250 - what do you guys think?

http://goo.gl/ZD1mxc $24 can't be beat. I own this one and it's top quality. Monoprice is awesome. (They also offer relatively affordable overnight shipping for $5-ish)

Unfortunately, I've over here in Dubai, and they don't have this brand here

Might have to give the PI-150 a try :\

Should work just fine. As I am typing this I am driving in my truck which has the built-in 150 W AC outlet.  I just unplugged my inspire one battery after it had reached the full charge about 3minutes ago.

Yes you can use an inverter but I recommend you use 200W or higher one.

Another user has reported 250w is about the lowest you should get. I would probably look for something in the 300-500w range. When sourcing these type of devices its always good to have a little over-head.

I was just barely able to to my 225 watt charger to work. I would would get a 250 watt or larger charger.  It pulls 18.75 amps at 12v during the charge so you need to connect the inverter directly to the battery to get that much power. Most cars can only deliver 15 amps to the lighter.
