I am shocked I am not seeing more questions and info about the new Ground Station.

Here is what I would like to know.

1. ETA?
2. PC, Mac, and IOS capable? All features available on all platforms?
3. What are some of the mapping/photogrammetry features and functions?
4. I hope this will work with the 2.4ghz Datalink and A2 FC?
5. Need a beta tester who maps with your PC Ground Station every single week? I would love to help.

DJI-Adela,  I understand that the new Groundstation will be compatible, but please tell me that it will have the capability to geotag images.   Otherwise what would be the point of having the RTK upgrade for the Matrice 6000?

Any chance that the iPAD version will have configurable servo actions as a waypoint action similar to what ugcs and the dji pc ground station used to have? The iPAD ground station has everything I need apart from that one function...

And will it not be compatible with the A2? The A2 is not in the list you metioned in your post.

Naza M V2 controller
Zenmuse H3D3 for GoPro (with lens 4:35 No fish eye)
With the battery 8.000mah can fly safely 20 minutes.
I would like to work geotagging with this Drone.
I have the 2.4 data link.
Using this setup do you think  can I do the job ???

You know if the PC ground station for Windows is running ??

No it is not, PC Ground Station has reached its end of life due to Google's discontinuation of Google Earth. Only iPad Ground Station is available.

PC Ground Station is still working for me. I use it every week with my A2/S900 and 2.4 Datalink. Google extended the date for the expiration date for the API on Google Earth.

What about using Ground Station with Agras-MG1?

It would be possible?

I am not sure about the controller inside this drone.

Agras is a replacement for Ground Station, they do not work together in any way. They are both software that uses the datalink to tell the drone what to do.

I understand. But it has nothing to do with DJI. DJI does not support nor have they updated PC Ground station for years. So the only reason it still works is because Google themselves has continued to extend the API for those like DJI to use it. The original date was January this year I believe and DJI admitted here on this forum that this meant PC Ground Station would no longer work and we would have to wait for the new version to fly our machines again. It's very scary and honestly it bothers me a lot, I have a business of flying drones and using PC Ground Station and once it stops working I am grounded. This is why getting a new PC ground station or ipad version out and usable is so important to so many of us who fly for a living.

Sure hope they release something soon.

UAVServices,  unfortunately I don't think DJI has any plans to release a groundstation that will have capability of geotagging.   And quite honestly the new rtk gps they are implementing is not really what we are looking for to accomplish photogrammetry work.   You could however use UCGS but I am not sure if they are yet supporting the A3 at this time.

Seems to be the real and simple solution, but, as always is, there is no user reference for this product.

What's gonna happen with the Ground Station at the end of this year, will it stop working at all? I depend on it. Is there any chance that DJI will respond on this problem and adapt the existing SoftWare to some new solution instead of GE API? Will GS continue to work but without GE in the background?

It can't be guaranteed to work since the Google API it ran on is technically discontinued and has been for some time. Any updates to the PC could cause it to no longer function since the API can no longer be updated to accomodate.

WOW! So sad considering that it does WORK even though it's limited. And yet your GS Pro is full of issues and very limited in features and usability.

All these promotions  for use of DJI drones in commercial settings yet not one single way to use your drones for the majority of the proposed jobs. No proper ground station=no significant commercial usability.

Have drone...have jobs..but no ground station means no work... Come on DJI lets get this working please.

I fly the S900 with the A2 and use DJI PC Ground Station. It works for now but who knows for how long, I have very little confidence in this platform since I'm at the mercy of Google or other updates relating to Google Earth API.

So....I'm not considering the A3 upgrade but with so many standing issues for many months now I have concerns. And yes I did try the GS Pro app on my Phantom 4 but with 99 waypoint limits it's worthless for photogrammetry.

I like the Phantom line and both the Inspire lines but DJI must understand that you guys are far from a sensor company at this point, you do not and probably will never make all the sensors a person needs to fly. And when we want to fly 2 sensors or more your current models your supporting can not do this. So we are forced to go with S900 or something with an A3 flight controller. Now the issue is no flight planning for photogrammetry. At least not yet....

So frusting....

I have heard a rumor that Autoflight Logic may work for you if you are using Light Bridge 2 on your platform, at this point i cannot confirm this. I was thinking of rebuilding my S900 with a LB2 / A3.  I use this app for my Phantom3 Pro it is a very good app lots of features etc.

Thank you for the suggestion. But from what I can see Auto Flight does not have photogrammetry mission planning. Which is all I am interested in.

Seems like it is high time to reconsider the decision to work with the DJI for serious jobs. I think that I'll leave DJI and go for Pixhawk. I still have a month to rebuild my big drone.. Any better idea?

It's a very frustrating time. I have asked questions on the forum, emailed DJI and really can't get solid answers on the status of being able to use DJI drones for professional work without the use of 3rd party apps or their prebuilt systems and cameras. It' very unfortunate that a small amount of money and effort could not be spent on making sure their current platforms (and their most expensive) are usable and have the support needed to run a professional operation.

I had so much trouble with PIXHAWK back in the day with my S900 that I really don't think I could ever go back. But you can trust that myself and others are looking at all possible options for hardware and software.

we have exactly the same problem in our company in Poland as you have
We have DJI S900 with Data Link and now I'm afraid that one day we won't be able to plan any mission.
This tool is frustrating anyway, because not user-friendly interface, but works at all.
And yes - DJI support is very poor, once I waited for respond few months. I think they focused on amateur solutions like phantom and inspire and the won't provide any professional one dedicated only for photogrammetry.

We have looked for Matrice 600 with RTK but we also can't find anyone who already fully tested it and can confirm that it works for photogrammetry, without using GPC's. And also don't know what we shouuld do - wait for DJI for complete solution or look for another one.

Yes, you can use the P4P with GS Pro, the only exception is that the P4P+ controller is not able to use the program at this time since it is an Android platform.

PC GS is still working (July 2017). I must replace my LK900 data link with something else (it is causing the interefernce problems with my RTK GPS). An idea? I need the same or better range.
