I just subscribed to your channel...I have a similar situation, I was very happy with my phantom 3 advance, I sold it, got the P4 and even though I love the bird, very well build, steady etc etc, Im very disapointed with the range. I am looking into those antennas  but I want to make sure before I get one plus I am not fully convinced in modifying my remote and I am hopping that DJI might release a firmware to correct that issue.

Thanks for subscribing! I have not put this kit on my P4 yet, as I don't have any range issues with it. I might just keep it stock.

I bought and installed the Range Booster ITE-DBS02 for the P4.  In my neighborhood with a lot of Wifi interference and tall trees, I got 2,000 feet stock before getting disconnects.  With the mod, I got 10,000 feet.

Hey Taz...I have the same situation I only get around 2000 feet in my neighborhood and I always get the red weak signal alert, so if you get 10k feet man I think I will buy it then

I do have one question, I read that for the windsurfer if the drone is flying behind the controller the signal drops, does this happen as well for the Range Booster you have?

How hard is it to install?

easy to install a video online to show you, 15000+ ft. with DBS mod on my p3s today

Yeah, the install is pretty simple.  Even had a few beers before doing it (and drilling, didn't order the clean install kit).  Piece of cake, just watch the video as you're doing it.

sweet I should have it monday

I just flew over 20000 feet with itelite yesterday, limited only by battery life.  Was a pristine location, but the thing is well worth the mo ey.  That far out it is a little bit touchy with pointing at aircraft, but nothing as bad as a windsurfer at all.

I bought the Maxx Range, flown twice, it's Awesome!!

It is easy. It took me 1/2 hrs and i am happy with it. It will avoid your rc warranty so think twice before you buy and install
