My Standard is useless after the latest update and there appears to be no way to downgrade the firmware.

1. Enable the option of viewing hidden files in your OS. Below are the websites where you can check how to show the hidden files in your PC.
For The Windows System:

2.Enter the root directory of the SD card, then find the hidden folder MISC and enter it. There is LOG folder in it.

Can't attach a txt file so here is the text of it.

First, a little background:
I live in an area on a hill with a lot of interference from various radio towers so I do not expect a lot of range. I have been able to go about 200 ft up and/or 1000 feet from my home point before I would see loss of wifi signal. With this update, as the pictures show, I loose image at much less distance than before. HOWEVER-I still have full bars showing in the app.

That's the first problem. The second problem is that I cannot downgrade the firmware. Why not?

The Steps :
1. Download the firmware at http://phantomhelp.com/Mobile/Phantom-3-Standard/#FirmwareArchive and select the fw that you want .bin file format

2. Insert the file to sd card, outside folder, and must be the only one .bin file format

3. Turn on the RC and the drone without sd card until it connect (RC and Drone)

4. Connect to DJI GO App (to see downgrade status stay at front page of the app)

5. Insert the sd card. Then the downgrade process is starting and rear led will turn to yellow and there will be beep sound from the drone (it is normal). See at DJI GO app, there will be status bar show the downgrade process. If the rear led becomes green it means the process is complete, you also can see the succes notice at DJI GO App.

6. Restart the RC and Drone, connect DJI GO App, check the FW. Finish.


I hope it can help the issue of 1.6.80 firmware for Phantom 3 Standard

I have the same issue with my P3P. Since the latest firmware upgrade 1.8. It happens when the drone is no more than 10m from me. I force-quit the app and restart it, the image comes back. This needs to be fixed DJI, yesterday!

do you guys fly in airplane mode on? i am trying that now just to eliminate variables and discard the possibility that my phone's signal is interfering with the antena.,, since it it right next to it when set our phones on the holder,, what are your thoughts?  i tried it and so far i havent gotten the rc signal lost message

I tried the airplane mod but it happened again. I have never had this issue prior to the firmware upgrade. I usually fly with airplane mode on – if and when I'm using the iPhone; just to avoid interruption with a phone call.

I'm with the same problem after updating for 1.6.80.
I think thats a firmware bug. They need to repair!

Same here! Tried calibrating everything and had the same issue! Thanks to Reinzneal I rolled back the firmware without issues and have perfect image transmission!
DJI has to adress this right away

Step 2 means: Format the SD card and copy in the root directory only the .bin file. Attention only one .bin file and format the SD card through DJI Go application or to your PC as FAT32.

guys what does it mean when my version is 1.5.70+ and app is 2.8.1

i also have the same issue of weak signal transmission and lost signal with my P3S..

do i still have to DG or just wait for fix from DJI?
