Hey every one I have a phantom 3 adv, I've never crashed or any thing. Every thing is working (take off, image transmission, ...) but when I tap the picture button or filming one it loads and then I lose the image transmission but it comes back after 30 sec. So I really dont know what to do, if you have some thing that could help please tel me.

Hello Pierre, what kind of mobile device and SD card do you use? Will the drone lose signal by the time when you tap the button if it doesn't take off and stand on the ground?

i use the iPhone 6 an the lexar sd that comes with. and yes it loses signal but it comes back

Do you use the RC or app to take a photo? Do other devices have the same result?

Take a look at the files on the SD card and see if the video or still did in fact record. It is more like an issue of the iPhone crashing, not the recording. Another thing would be to copy any stills or video off the SD card and then re-format it.

I have all the same problem.

Things that still work:
- Live video transmission
- Playback videos that are on the SD card already
- Firmware updating process (writes the logs on txt file)
- Configuring camera settings
- Formating SD card directly from the APP

Things that doesnt work:
- Taking photos and store them on SD
- Taking videos and store them on SD

This is was happening in detail:
1. I push the button to make a photo (resp. video) at the remote controller
2. The iPhone makes the photo sound.
3. The video transmission turnes into a black screen.
4. The gimbal fan stops working
5. Sometimes the dji logo gets displayed in the DJI GO app
6. The drone beeps a code: Long - Short - Short
7. The fan starts working again
8. The black screen turnes into live video transmission again
9. No videos/photos stored on SD
I'm using an iPhone 6.

Do you have the same problems?
It seems that all actions with camera and SD card reader do work, but as soon the task is to store footage on SD there is this problem.
I installed the latest update yesterday and maybe there is a connection!? I had also a problem during the update process and had to restart it.

I hope this topic gets solved

What happens if you use the button on the RC controller to take a photo or start recording, not the one in the Go App? Seems to me I have seen this problem before and it always involves an iPhone 6.

Hey I have also tried that but everything acts the same as I press the button on the iPhone or RC. I've tried also with an iPhone 5S it does exactly the same thing

i have already done the formatting and there is no picture that ads it self when i take one

Today I try to downgrade the drone to the previous firmware and connect a Samsung smartphone.

Maybe this will shed light on the issue...

It seems there is something wrong with the camera mainboard. I'd suggest you to get in touch with our tech support via support@dji.com and send it to our service center for diagnosis.

I'm sending it back to netherlands to DJI in July-August

Just started talking to support - mine has developed exactly the same symptoms - I assume yours was resolved? I have pointed my support contact at this thread in the hope that maybe there is some easy resolution.
