For that S1000, here are the A2 suggested gains:

For A2 flight controller
Basic: Roll 120%, Pitch 120%, Yaw 120%
Attitude: Roll 170%, Pitch 170%, Vertical 120%

For WooKong-M flight controller
Basic: Roll 180%, Pitch 180%, Yaw 120%
Attitude: Roll 180%, Pitch 180%, Vertical 120%

What are the corresponding gains for the A3?

I'm at the default now (90) and still getting overshoot on Aleron and Elevator inputs.

Thanks in advance.

And here are my current gain settings.  This is an A3 -- not an A2.

On an A2 these numbers would be significantly higher.

Have you tried to lower your sensitivity settings.

Have you tried to lower your sensitivity settings.

So leave the gains of 90 alone and make the sticks less sensitive?

I'll confess, I'm a cleanflight/Arducopter guy.  I understand PID, but I don't fully understand DJI gains.

No one willing to toss-out some A3 gains?

A3 / S1000+ / Z15-A7 / 2.5kg battery

I'm at 90 now.  Not sure which way to take them.

Once you get past the default gains settings, the changes would be at your discretion. When you're making any Gains adjustments, it's good to do so at 5% increments. Just to clarify, are you using Lightbridge 2 for your RC, or a 3rd party RC?

I'm using an LB2.

It flies fairly smoothly with gains at 90.  But when remove elevator or aileron, I get a little bit of "snap" where it almost overshoots

If it were a DJI 550, I'd almost think it was perfectly tuned.  I'm just not sure I want to watch a few thousand dollars "snap" into position.  I can't tell if I need less stick sensitivity or lower gain values.

Based on what is provided, lowering both a tad should help. Lowering the sensitivity would allow for the unit to   cruise in that direction, while the gains would help ensure that the weight of the aircraft does not take precedent when braking.

Now that a few months have passed, are there "standard" gains for this setup?

A3 / S1000+ / Z15-A7 / 2.5kg battery

Shouldn't there be hundreds of users with this setup?  I'm not excited about spending a full day placing a few thousand dollars of hardware at risk if someone has already done the homework.

In the Gains section, you should see a drop down menu that will generate gain settings based on the size of the aircraft. Have you given that a try?

I'll check later today.  This vehicle was assembled back when the A3 was still getting major software updates and I didn't remember any drop-downs like that.

Please keep me posted. They should definitely be there if you're using the latest Assistant 2 software.

I updated everything and found the settings.  It's set to the 800<vehicle<1200 range.  I'll see how it flies in a day or so

In what way do they not respond? Is the aircraft really slow to respond or does it seem to shake a lot? Do you happen to have any video?
