Hey pilots-

I have the Inspire 1 with the X3 camera. as well as the Osmo, also fitted with the X3 camera.

I want to add the X5Raw to both of them, and I find DJI's guidence a little... well, ambiguous.

Anyone know what I'm in for?

Focus can be done through the app as well, so it's not completely necessary. It would be a matter of preference.

Thanks Jamie- Are you referring to the DJIGo App? I use that as well as Autoflight.

Yes you are talking 4K - what you could think through is - do I really need the RAW capacity of the X5 R camera - and do I have the necessary computer power to handle those big RAW files.
You could consider if you are well off with the X5 camera

Thanks. Yes, I just landed a 5-6 year contract utilizing 4KRAW video. I've got a fully-loaded Mac Pro coming with triple monitor set-up. The whole thing is a dream come true, as I get to score all the music as well (I've been a recording artist for decades). I'll b getting another Inspire as well, although I may wait until the Inspire 2 comes out... just depends on what's available when I add to the 'fleet.'

Gratulation - In a situation like what you describe - there is no need to hesitate -buy the X5 R - I would for sure.

Yes I was referring to the Go app, I do not know much about the 3rd party apps. An additional Focus function for the Inspire, if you're not aware, would be holding the C1 button and moving the gimbal wheel to adjust. Auto Focus would be available through the app as well on both platforms as well.

Simple, get the X5 adapter, I did and it works fine.

NO, not needed. You can focus from the tablet well enough if you don't want to spend the $1k
