This is my first message here. My name is Luca, from Italy, 36yo and in the RC world since 14yo. I started with RC planes, then moved to helicopters and now drones (mikrokopter first, then DYI hexas equipped with Wookong and Naza V2). I have always build models from kits, then I tried a Phantom of a friend of mine and I fell in love and bought a P3P. The following one is my very first video with it.
I'm very very passionate for cars. I usually track my MX-5 and in spare time I'm instructor for a local drifting school called "Drivemotive". The footage shows some taxi (unfortunately just in the paddock) for guests of a big event organized by FERODO company.
The footage is untouched, just a bit of contrast in Premiere. Phantom camera settings are -2 -1 -2 and D-log. DJI ND16 filter is used (and I forgot on during the dusk shooting, it adds a bit of drama though ).
Hi Phantomsky, keeping the surface wet is a common practice when you have to drift in narrow places, or during training courses (because the behaviour of the car is smoother). You save tyres too and the overall mechanical stress is a bit reduced.
Next saturday a big drift show is coming, this time on track. Hope to have time to get some aerial shots.
Great video dude, I disagree with one of the earlier comments, I think the music suits it and sets the tone, great job. I think some 60fps/120fps slow mo shots would be cool.
Very cool! The footage looks pretty great (in my opinion) for mostly untouched. Came out nice! I always like seeing the shadow of the quad in footage. Music is great too! Perfect for the action!
