What we really want to know is will Active tracking be integrated into the Original Osmo via a firmware update? Did DJI forget that some people actually bought the Osmo, or is it regarded obsolete now? Active Tracking is just one thing missing on the beta Osmo (as I've started calling it)

Why will the active track feature not be included as an option for current OSMO owners?  This is merely a firmware update to allow this functionality with the X3 or X5.  

Active Tracking is already available on AutoFrame for Osmo.

No, the 3.5mm jack is for charging the Osmo only. You do not plug a phone into it. Your phone connects to the Osmo via Bluetooth.
On the Osmo and Osmo+ the 3.5mm jack is for an external mic, but used as a charging port for the Osmo Mobile.

I should not have to pay $10 to another company and use their app when filming, when DJI just released the feature on a lower end product.

How small of an object will Osmo Mobile track, ie, will it track my Phantom 4? Or is the tracking similar to what's on the Phantom 4 where it may lose the object it's tracking and if it does lose it does it try to reaquire it to continue tracking?

It will track your Phantom if your flying close to the ground and not high up. And if it loses track it will reacquire it when it sees it again, works like the P4.

And for that reason, I classified it as a lower end product.  Perhaps I should have used the word "Model" instead of "Product".  A BMW 3 series is a lower end model from a 7 series.....get it?

Hi, what do you mean "flat profile"?

As the active track is app side not hard wear... Will active track work with the x5 OSMO? Using DJI go app.

I really like this option!   I've been going back and forth about picking up an OSMO.  This kinda seals the deal for me!  Gonna pick it up from my LHS when they get them...

No, it can't, since the camera is attached to the handle.

Okay, thank you. The Z-Axis is a nice extra, as well as the Auto-Track function. One point for each, the Osmo Mobile and the Osmo+.

there is one thing that I do not understand, you say that the gimbal is attached to the handle but, if you see the promo video , you can see a osmo handle with the mobile gimbal working perfectly and also you can see the gimbal attached at handle , Why dji do this?

The handle is the same as the regular Osmo (except Bluetooth) so all the battery accessories will work.
The included battery will last 3-4 hours, as there's no battery drain for a camera you will get more battery life then the original Osmo.

OK I just got my shipping delay notice. Would be nice if you guys changed the website to match the extended lead times due to the high demand.

Drone Nerds had some in stock. Ordered mine on the 14th with overnight delivery. Received it today, the 15th. I did call to verify they had them, but according to the webpage they still have some in stock.
