Welcom..

sorry. I use Google for translation.
Please, what is the difference between the Osmo of his Osmo+?
Is (Zenmuse X5 camras) work on (Osmo +) directly without Adapter?

Do you recommend buying Osmo +?

Thank.

The Osmo+ has a zoom camera and the Osmo does not.
You only need to buy the + if you think you want to do a lot of zoom shots.
Yes, the X5 will work on the either the Osmo or Osmo+ but you will need the X5 adapter.

Actually, I picked up an OSMO+ and already had an X5 adaptor. The X5 Adaptor will NOT fit the OSMO+ Handle. This was a real dissapointment for me! The tabs (that act as threads) which hold the X5 adaptor to the OSMO handles is THICKER in the X5 adaptor than in the socket for the OSMO+. The OSMO standard model works just fine. So, WHY do DJI representatives NOT know this?

So far I have not seen this written up anywhere, no videos on YouTube, nowhere. Very curious. I guess this is yet another case of Early Adopter Blues?! I am PISSED, however. This is just another case of product development and the careful slicing up of market niches. You either go SOSMO and add on an X5, or OSMO+ and by a one-trick pony.

I suppose corporate thinking was about making more money (always) and the logic that someone buying an X3 zoom-capable camera is NOT going to buy an X5 to add to it, they'd just buy the OSMO PRO with an X5 camera. However, making it so that no one CAN add an X5 to the OSMO+ is a real mean sort of market ploy. This should be CLEARLY NOTED in the appropriate places by DJI, and is simply is NOT!

Like a lot of people, I tend to sell off the last GREATEST gear to afford to move up, so once I ordered the OSMO+ I quickly sold the OSMO for a good deal to someone who did not require optical zoom capbilities. Now, my only option (to use my X5 and adapter on the OSMO+ is to buy another Standard OSMO handle and give DJI another $220.00 USD for that. YES, I'd have 2 complete systems, but I am still forced to buy more. What a coincidence?

Got to love the Chinese market manipulation. Great products, bad attitude...often.

Sorry to hear this, the X5 adapter should fit Osmo+ handle, because Osmo and Osmo+'s handle are the same. Some units do have a thicker tab(the ring) so you can't screw in the adapter.

Please use online chat on www.dji.com/support and send the Osmo+ handle in for an exchange when it's convenient for you.

I finally did manage to twist it on to the handle-side of teh bracket. I thought I'd break it, but convinced myself that it was jsut a machining inconsistency. It just requires some real muscle flexing to get it on. This is not good since it's easier to damage this way.

I am about to get an OSMO, and I am honestly confused at to whether or not I want the OSMO, OSMO+ or the   Mobile.

I'm a professional videographer and filmmaker and this is simply for my home movies but I was just doing my research on whether or not I want the OSMO or + vs. the mobile and if I don't get the OSMO, knowing what you just said about the + is very interesting.

Please correct me if I'm wrong.

So the mobile, is obviously dependent on your phone.

But the OSMO, comes with an X5 but without an optical zoom and the OSMO+ comes with the X3 with an optical zoom?

Because frankly, I don't plan on making any 70s style pornography and without the benefit of a telephoto zoom, not setting a real need for the zoom, unless there is one you can offer me.

I would rather have the better lens (especially if it's less money) than the not as good lens but with the ability to zoom which is completely unnecessary for something so small.

I would love your thoughts.  Thanks.

Osmo uses X3 camera, can't zoom.    Osmo+ uses a camera that can zoom, and have similar image quality to Osmo, though some people meet focus issues with Osmo+, in which case the need to exchange it.

The Zenmuse X5 requires the X5 adaptor on the OSMO+ like it does on the OSMO (original). One warning ... the machining on the OSMO+ makes attaching the X5 adaptor difficult. At least, it did on my unit. I had to REALLY crank it down to get it too go on. At first I thought it wouldn;t fit, and was furious. However, I finally got up teh never and just used brute strength. This is not the smartest approach, I'll admit!  :  )  However, it finally did go on, and will likely fit more easily as I do this a few more times. This is just a heads up on a potential problem. Good luck!

Hopefully it does not gall the threads and bind up on you!
