hi,
Anybody have any negative information or experience with attaching the two side brackets for lumecubes?
Unlike gimbal guards they seem to be clear of visual/ultrasonic ports.

I have them for the P4 and they are top notch, and the cubes are amazing.

Just make sure you calibrate the compass. Anytime you add or remove anything metal, you must calibrate the compass.

Yes, I have flown my Phantom 3 Pro hard, while the Lume Cubes were attached and there was never a problem. Yes, you are correct, they don't affect any sensors or OA modules.

Hope you enjoy your cubes even half as much as I have... ;-)
There are seven strobe modes and 100 power settings in the app.

Received my new Lume Cubes and mounts for my Phantom 4 a week or so ago.  Had not yet flown with the lights on.  Only the mounts attached.  Flew my bird 2 times.  No problems or bumps. The next day I was going to fly again and noticed that both mounts were broken and one had another stress crack.  I sure am glad the lights were not connected.

Yes, not surprising. They have been made using a hot filament 3D printer and probably will not survive the stresses of flying. Unfortunately there are lots of these items being produced by 3D printers and the owners are not aware that they normally produce structurally weak components.

I had one to break and not knowing how it got broken I just decided to superglue the bracket, and ordered another set. the broken one set for a few days and is just as strong as a new one. I did file out the part that contacts the skids to lessen the pressure when installing them. seems to work a lot better and I haven't  broken another one yet !!!

That's not usual, and should be reported to the folks at the site.
Of course you already contacted the friendly people at Lume Cube for replacement parts, correct?

They will happily send you out a new set of Phantom 4 mounts, no sweat.

Good folks at Lume Cube.  They said they would get a new set out asap.  I think that I might utilize the holes on the mounts to add a "safety belt" on both sides in case they break again.  At least the lights would be hanging on and not dropped somewhere along the flight.

Good stuff. Even thought the mounts are 3D printed, they should be solid and secure. I looked mine over good when I first got them, and they are rock solid.
Not sure why you would have gotten a set that both broke. That seems strange and highly unusual, yet you say that the drone never crash landed?

Anyway, good luck and much happiness with the new set. ;-)
& for anyone else interested in buying a set of Lume Cubes, they are truly awesome little lights...
