The last drone that I had was the Phantom 1 back when there were no rules.  I saw a clip of the Mavic and wanted to get back in the game.  I started researching and wow, there are a lot of restrictions.  So my question is, for people in Los Angeles, where do you fly at (legally)?

It's getting harder all the time.  I tend to look for isolated hiking areas.  Or isolated beach areas.  California State parks don't allow them.

I was up in Malibu at trippet to do the 7 mile hike and at the park pay station there is a sign that says "no drones". i get it because there are lots of celebs that you would be hiking over (on the fire road up there). there was another part of this hike (topanga state park) thats up a dead end street with no "no drone" sign! I may hit that place up once i get the mavic...
