Hello,
I mounted the A3 Pro on my M600, but during flight this error shows up:
(Extend IMU1 [barometer1] data exception  please check IMU installed correctly)
(Extend IMU2 [barometer1] data exception  please check IMU installed correctly)
or both at the same time,
but I checked and the IMUs are installed correctly and all the values are perfect.
The error shows up during harsh manuvers and it disappears only after a aircraft restart. But during the next flight it will reappear.

I noticed as well that the Inner IMU shows this error ([barometer1] data exception) but the error disappears by itself and only shows up in the Redundant System History.

So far I have tried to check the values, calibrate the IMU under best conditions, upgraded the firmware, downgraded and upgraded again. But nothing seems to help.
While the red dot and Error shows up in the Go App, on the IMU the LED is flashing blue.

If IMU 1 and 2 would just reset by themselves there would be no problem but only a Aircraft restart helps temporarely.

Does anyone experienced this and found a solution?
Any Solutions?  I would rather solve this myself then sending the PRO back.

Thank you for your Help
Patrick

Try re-installing latest firmware again

Already did multiple times, doesn't help.
I started thinking that maybe the DJI Go app is the problem because the IMU on the M600 flashes Blue and not red even if the Go App shows a error on the IMU.  Could that be?

What firmware versions do you currently have on your unit? Can you verify what mobile device and Go app version you have?

Im on the latest firmware on every device, M600 is on 1.0.0.43, controller is on latest firmware as well.  I tried with my iPhone with latest iOS and Ipad, both with latest Dji Go App (3.0.1), I tried with the 3.0.0 as well.
I tried with a Android tablet as well, but same problem on every device.

Tough I noticed something today: both IMU 1 and IMU 2, showed the error, but sometimes the Inner IMU showed a barometer error as well, that means that they are still comparing the Barometer data?
The Inner IMU error disappeared after a second or so, but the IMU 1 and IMU 2 error only disappears after a aircraft restart.
Today the Error showed up right after i started the M600, didn't even take off and already had the error.

Hi,
If you fitted the full pro kit which is three imu's  ie two extras you might try unplugging one at a time to test if the imu is faulty or if you only added one imu then could you attach the second imu to a diferent canbus connector to see if that makes any difference.  If you unplug all external imu"s will the fault go away on the go app.  This way you can see if the unit is faulty... just thinking out loud.

Thank you ricci, you tip helped me track down the issue even more, the problem must be in the A3 main unit.
I tried to unplug the External IMUs but the error was still on the Go App, but the red dot became gray and wasn't red anymore, when i reattached the IMU the error was still there (the gray dot became red again).

Then I tried something else I attached the working IMU to the other Port (where the IMU with the error was attached) and the error was still there.

The Port itself is fine tough because the error can affect both IMUs.

That means that the problem must be in the main A3 unit.

I can concur that it looks like it's an issue with the main controller itself. The Europe Support Center would be able to assist you with getting a RMA to get it serviced. They can be contacted at support.eu@dji.com.

You would need to send in the whole M600, since it is technically a preinstalled component.

I want to update this Post, Dji has found out, some time ago, that there is a Algorithm problem with the A3Pro. I haven't heard anything from DJI since, I wrote a E-Mail a few days ago, but nothing.
Now I hope DJI will have a Solution soon, otherwise I have to contact Customer Protection.

Changes to the IMU between flights most times can be either an environmental issue or a set up issue such as not being secured properly. There is a chance of a hardware or software issue, but that is not as often. Just to make sure I'm understanding correct, the last firmware update helped fix the IMU problem?

DJi has replaced the A3 and And Pro IMUs, but I'm still having the problem. Seems like this is a problem that only appears on higher elevations, I usually fly above 1500m Elevation.

So just to make sure I'm on the same page, when you're flying below 1500m in elevation, you're not incurring this error or is there a different threshold you've noticed?

Unfortunately I don't know the exact threshold, I usually fly at 1500 to 2000m and always had this problem, the few times I flew at about 200 to 500m elevation I didn't see the problem.
When I brought the M600 to DJI support in Germany, they tested my M600 and didn't encounter the problem, they are at 242m above sea level.
So my suspicion is that the Barometer in the IMUs have problems with low air pressure at higher elevations.

Tested again Today, and the problem is just as before, I started the M600 at a elevation of 1800m.
If the A3 could just reset the problem during flight then everything would be ok, but I need to land and restart the M600 to get rid of it.
And sometimes the error pops up right after I start the M600, even without starting the motors.

Possibly it has to do with it.  Today I had the first flight with my new M600 PRO at 800m sea level. Then this error message was seen:

(Extend IMU2 [barometer1] data exception  please check IMU installed correctly)

Later in my office in Klagenfurt (448 meters above sea level) everything was correct.

(Extend IMU2  data exception  please check IMU installed correctly)

That is exactly what I see, I had a suspicion that it could be caused by vibrations on the M600, but if you have the M600 Pro vibrations should not be the cause, because your IMUs are dampened.
So it probably comes down to a faulty barometer or a faulty software.
I will request a RMA again and if it can't be fixed seek other options.

And by the way it looks like DJI replaced my A3 + A3 PRO with Used parts and not new ones, it came back with already 60 Flights on Log, and don't tell me they made 60 test flights in the few days when they replaced the part.

I have been flying again at higher altitudes about 2000m above sea level and the error is still there with the 1.0.0.80 Firmware, it just doesn't appear that often anymore, but I get it every 2 flight so the A3 Pro is still useless at higher elevations.
