Since the Mavic uses a new wireless technology, is it going to be as susceptible to wireless intereference as the Phantoms?

I would say yes.

Operating Frequency        2.4 GHz to 2.483 GHz

It's operating in the same band as a *lot* of other equipment, such as 802.11g/n, other aircraft, and even some other equipment. It's a crowded band.

But, they're obviously encoding it differently for this to be more interference resistant. Perhaps something like APSK or FSK, etc. I'd have to dig deeper once I have the equipment and watch it with an SDR.

I live on a smaller Hawaiian island and don't expect too much interference but would still like to know the details on how this plays out. Preparedness is key

Thank god i won't have this problem in Austria, like 99% people hate these things here and are only waiting to call the cops once they see once and charge the Pilot of the drone 22.000€ lol

I have tested it compare to p4 in same location, mavic pro has much better signal, better anti-interference

WiPry from Oscium might be a good way to see what interference is in the environment. Test antenna gain etc. I like the waterfall display of the entire band.

Would be cool if the Mavic controller could show the frequency it's on.

Doesn't the controller/Mavic scan the frequency range automatically to find the clearest available signal every time they are paired up. I'm sure I read that in one of the reviews.

Yes, the DJI GO software allows you to chose a specific frequency for override, but by default it does an automatic scan for the least congested channel. It continually scans for better channels. There is a realtime graph that shows you congestion status for each channel in the DJI GO app.
