On one side I am using a ND 8 filter, on the other side I used no filter at all. There is no post production editing used in this test. Post a comment on what side you think I used the ND 8 filter. I will provide the answer after I review several comments. Thanks.

While I have no clue as to which side had the filter the video on the right side gets my vote for looking better.  The color seemed a bit more vibrant and the shadows had more detail.

I have no idea which is the ND8 filter side, look the same to me,would agree with Gil on the shadow details, a little better on the right side.

I was in the understanding that an ND filter just cuts out light, so you would need to extend the shutter speed or make aperture bigger to compensate to get the correct exposure, I would not think it would alter the overall contrast of the photo but it looks like it has ?

Here is the answer! The ND 8 filter is on left side. There is a slight motion blur as I pan the AC using the ND 8 filter due to the slower shutter speed.

Great job of comparison.  How did you get the split screen?  I know it was in post-editing but what did you use to get the black diagonal line across the screen?
