Hi. I just bought a Ronin a couple days ago. I did a few tests with my Red Scarlet and a Canon 7D, on both cameras it worked perfectly.
The problem is that now that I recharged the battery, onde I try to start the Ronin, it starts to tremble very violently and noisy, and wont stop
until I hit the MOTOR KILL.
Here is a video that I shot, where you can see and here the problem:

How can I solve this? Any idea? I really need it to work.

Thanks,

Reduce motor Stiffness.
Every time you setup a new camera you have to click on the Auto Tune, and then set Stiffness Manually.
For 7D values goes from 15 to 20 aprox.
For Scarlet, I don't know because I always use Epic, for Red Epic values are around 60.

Ok. I'll try it out a few more times to see what happens.

Thanks.

I forgot to say that the Ronin has to be balance.
In your video you have no camera on it, and it is not balance.

Put a camera, balance it as per manual or video tutorial, and then do what I said before.

Yeah. The problem was that it had no camera. As I said, I tried with the Scarlet and 7D and both worked.

Thanks.

EPIC and Scarlet weight the same (5 lbs body only)  - differences are primarily internal.

I have a GH4/7d and if I understand the stiffness should be set manually to 15 - 20 manually?  After autotune it is set to 55 then I go down from there?
