So I finally tracked down a friend with an android 4.1.2 phone they weren't using and got the DJI pilot App installed,  but on starting up my aircraft for the first initial firmware updates and getting it out of travel mode I recieve this error.  All I wanna do is upgrade the firmware and try the simulator program!!!

This error doesn't appear to have anything to do with DJI or the Inspire. I recommend doing a factory reset of that device before using it for flight.

Simulator is not Available on Android as yet anyway !!!! Only Available on iOS

Did you put the android into developer mode?  If not go into settings "about" and tap the build number 7 times, then click on "enable USB debugging" under developer options.  Looks like it's a USB data issue

Well I figured out the issue.  Turns out I was trying to connect the slave controller to the inspire and not the master.  Silly mistake but glad it's sorted.
