Yeah.  Don't take that as anything other than a nice update for someone else.

I am in the UK, ordered the Fly More Combo on 1st October 2016 and there's hints I will be lucky to see it this side of December.  They are still literally shipping from the 27th and 28th and it seems UK gets less priority.  Sorry.

They need to concentrate on sending some to the States now..

I can only imagine the states are coming up soon. It looks like DJI is trying to get bulk orders to the nearest countries, usually covering a majority of orders from September through the first week of October, so they can satisfy those customers and calm down the riot. Its a smart move. Im trying to be as positive as i can about this and hope that this well mean that early Oct orders in the states should start seeing stuff within the next week or two. I think the only possibly risk the states is facing is that the suppliers will be getting their orders before direct orders through DJI. I hope thats not the case, because thats very unethical, but this is my first experience with DJI, so who knows

I agree with you ... and now after looking at that spread sheet and where I am on that spread sheet it seems the wait will continue unless they do a mass order to the States and get us caught up..... and again ... if that mass order is ALSO for the direct buyers and not just the big companies. We'll see I guess ....

Status ?

I ordered the day after release announcement back in Sept. and still not even a shipping date! And yet I see so many online bloggers with these in their hands, and in particuar, I see that DJI is making the next round of shipments with the improved lense cover which is also landing in the very same bloggers hands!! Yes, I said that right, many of the online bloggers have received not one but at least two of these in the time that we have been waiting. That speaks volumes to where I fall in priority as a paying customer who has had significant funds tied up for going on two months now.
It's great that you want to get these in the hands of the popular online bloggers but to do so at the cost of paying customers is flat out WRONG!! Guys like Casey Neistat are given these for free in exchange for advertising on their blog. But Casey, as an example, lost his in the city on his own accord and DJI decided he was more important than the rest of us paying customers waiting patiently, because magically he now has a new one from DJI with the black cover. A unit he is adamant he did not pay for just as he didn't with the his first one.


I mean come on guys, you are kind of sucking right now.

haha same thing happened to me. It ok though, i was averaging a response every 50 minutes on their chat, and that was when i actually got a response. Of course it was always copy and pasted

I highly doubt you'll be able to find it physically in the stores around then. Id say with the number of preorders being so high, on top of the number of units suppliers will be picking up to sell to their preorders, as well as Christmas shoppers, its going to be a hard find. I think the latest communication about them "Trying their best" to get all orders before Nov. 3rd within the next 7-8 weeks is really just to buy them a bit more time. Id predict that most early November preorders won't be getting their Mavics until 2017

Honestly, my biggest concern is that i won't be getting my Mavic with that first mass shipment to the states because i ordered the Fly More Combo. I have yet to get any type of comment on whether my order will be delayed because of it. Ive even sent an email to the sales department asking if they can remove the fly more package and keep it as a Mavic - No answer yet of course, so id assume that theres a good chance that'll be the case. I ordered mine on 10/8 so i know i've already got to be close to that cutoff point

Overall, I wish i didn't have to spend 1-2 hours one here trying to figure out what my $1,400 is getting. Id usually just wait for it to come in any situation, but something about this purchase has rubbed me the wrong way

I ordered from Drones Direct on the 28th October.  Initial delivery date of 21st November.  That changed 3 days ago to 16th December.

To be fair - it's BECAUSE of Casey Neistat that I'm getting the DJI.  He's a great source of advertisement, so yes - I'd be sending him another one first too if I'm thinking from a business perspective.

Hi Everyone! I found much more information here thanks to all of you, than in the chat with DJI

My order is still pending, made on 2016-09-28 21:14:49 (UTC)

And is the Fly more combo

Hope they send it soon, because I have to important video travels on december and January, and I would love to bring the MAvic with me instead of the inspire 1.
EDIT: I'm waiting for my mavic in Spain

All I can say is that DJI sent me an email telling me the products have shipped and that was great news...
My new Mavic is on it's way looks like they sent 2 packages... so all the stuff was shipped.  

So, will these newly shipped Mavic's need to get the new FW? Or are they shipping with the latest versions already?

I am somewhat surprised this happened so quickly based on all that is going on...  But very happy to able to finally get one.

I will need to read about the update, assuming it is fixing some needed items after the first release.

You will be shocked when you set the Mavic between your Inspire's, it's pretty tiny and you'll really appreciate the build quality and flight performance.

Yah it sounds like it Ken. I was out flying my Inspire 1 today at some pretty good distance from me (5900ft). I can only imagine the Mavic will vanish if you get it very far away.

The Mavic will go much further than the Inspire, and probably more then you even want to go. Stick a Trackimo on and you'll be good.

Oh... I get it and I am sure it will fly farther that I can see The point was that the Mavic is much smaller in size and will not take much distance before it cannot be seen.

Hey Ken are you still using the Trackmo ?  The reason I have not purchased one is the cellular coverage in the mountains can be a problem. But I really like the idea. Do they offer a smaller version that would be better for the Mavic?

Its one of the hands down worse run companies that exist. Part of it has to do with it being a Chi ...

It is kind of like going to a tasty Chinese restuarant. The food is delicious and the cost is reasonable, but the service? well lets just say at least the food was good. I'm Chinese and this has been my experience with 80% of the Chinese restaurants in the SF Bay Area!
