I just saw this on youtube.. I wonder if this is why some of the units are having issues focusing.. If you have a Mavic take a good look at your lenses. I'll definitely doublecheck mine when mine finally comes in at some point..

That was really the DJI response to the lens obstructions pictured in the video?

Why was the thread deleted? Partial Cached view: https://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:http://forum.dji.com/thread-71594-1-1.html

I thought the DJI mods weren't doing that but locking them if they got out of control with people upset about feeling steamrolled by DJI?

I believe what Ed is stating above (Ed's comments subsequently removed) is that this thread may be removed in accordance to the new DJI rules for posting in this form discussed here.

The post was deleted because OP in that thread posted multiple threads on bbs.dji.com (the Chinese language DJI forum) of the same content(in Chinese)

so it's considered a duplicate thread and was deleted. But users are welcome to discuss this issue

I can't really disagree with you.  If they want to reduce excess threads, how about a forum structure that is actually user friendly and easy for the user to subscribe, search, watch and reply to.  Something like the vBulletin type forums seem to really work well which is why they are used quite often.

Thanks for providing the context, I appreciate that.

My humble suggestion would be to consider locking child threads instead and linking back to the parent.

That would preserve data while still allowing your desired workflow.

Because we know more about that particular user from Chinese forum and social media, and his abnormal behavior convinced us he's not a real user, and more like someone intentionally looking for trouble.

People are free to discuss issues as always

Good post. The software used for this forum is almost unbelievably primitive. It should be downright embarrassing for a tech company.

The original thread was all very helpful & the user even went through the process of making a video for everyone to watch and translated it to English. Deleting and ban seemed unnecessary.

Now we have 2 addition dirt on lens threads as well as a DJI deleting threads, thread.

I hope all the users with this issue are resolved and I can not believe Kevin's replacement lens had issues. Thanks for the response !!

Can the user unscrew the outer lens and clean it up like Phantom series camera? If yes, I would consider that a non issue.
