Hey all I am loving my Mavic so far. I have taken it out a few times and am still learing all the settings and features. Hope you enjoy it.

Outstanding detail, once I thought to adjust my YouTube view up from 720 to 4K! Really Nice job.
How much work have you done editing the video afterwards? I want to learn how to do something half as good as that!

Thanks Logger.
Not all that much work went into editing. I had a number of clips that I trimmed and then put together. I used Final Cut Pro X. It's really easy to use. No colour correction was done. It's about getting a number of shots that you can put together.
I'm going to try adding some music to my videos at some point.

While the footage is pretty darn nice, it stutters/is choppy especially during scene transitions.  Tried on 3 devices: phone, computer, 4k tv.  I see a few of these on YouTube.  Must be something with the encoding/exporting.
I like your color, errr, colour processing (you had to have done 'something') and composition/angles.  This is great footage!

Thanks a lot.
I think it might be to do with Youtube compression. But not sure. It looks ok my ipad and laptop.
The colour was straight out from the camera. The only setting i played with was the ISO on the RC controller. Nothing else was done colour wise. Was lucky it was a nice bright day. A the setting helped a lot.

One word: awesome! Some music would finish it completely. Detail about the first one, in the end the horizon tilted a bit. As a noob, I'm wondering if it's possible to correct that with processing?

Great footage, very promising. I think the YT compression is seen.

Thanks Brutus. I agree some music would make it much better. I'm trying to work out what would sound best.
I believe you can correct the tilt. My laptop is 6 years old so it is struggling to edit the 4k. Will have to get a new one soon.

Yeah that is something I noticed on some of the other videos too. Hope they change this. But the copy on my laptop is great.

Hey 0sarc0 another very nice video.  I am curious as to you video camera settings to produce this 4K.
Are you running in PAL or NTSC mode?

Is it 4096x2160 24fps?

I have noticed when browsing the menus that 24fps is the only frame rate that is available in every single video size. As the video size reduces there 25fps and then a lot of faster rates appear.

I was taking some similar footage over the ocean today at 4096x2160 24fps & noticed some shadows from the props in some areas. Have you seen that too?

I am theorising that if I am to choose between 24fps and 25fps I should go for 24. Because it is common to all Mavic video sizes, it might make it easier to integrate footage of different resoltion afterward? I wonder if ther is merit in me doing this or if it is a non issue mixing different frame rates.

Hey all I have something that is not the ocean for once.
It was really bad in the lighting department today and it was also very windy. But still got some good footage. Experimenting with some sound as well. Hope you all enjoy.

Hey Logger I'm running it at 3840x2160 @ 30fps. Have you been able to find this video size? That seems to work great for me.

Yeah I have seen the shadows in the props. It depends where the sun is. Nothing too much you can do about that just try and frame the shot to not get it. I think I have read someplace that you could use ND filters (this might not be the right name but think it is) and that should help but not really sure.

The frame rate is tricky. You should check all the devices you will be filming with and find a common ground. The more frames the better in my opinion. I tried to slow down a clip today but it looked really choppy because of the 30fps limit.
