So I just got a Mavic and didn't realize how pathetic DJI's android support is. EXTREMELY LIMITED to a few phones only?! I have the flagship LG G5 and that too doesn't work.

I'm so disappointed.

Anyway, does the mavic require a phone to fly? Can i fly this damn thing w/ just the remote instead?

ps
My first ever DJI product and i'm already disappointed... and i don't really get disappointed easily. But thisi is ridiculous. Found out that people have been asking DJI to support more phones since P3!!!! In years they've added just a few Android phones. What's wrong DJI? Can't afford more software engineers?!!! sheeesh

You can fly the Mavic without a phone, but you need one to update it.  I have a Moto X Play and it seems to work fine right now.

Just as Lepus said. You can fly it with out a phone.
Could you please clarify what's the issue with your mobile device?
Since some Android device might not be powerful enough, it maybe incompatible.

I'm doing fine with my LG V10, one generation before the LG G5. Not sure what the problem with Android is about...

Used to fly the P2V+ with my old Nexus 5 as well.
