So I placed an order for a Mavic on Oct 24th through Crutchfield... I'm assuming I have a long wait ahead of me. Since this will be my first drone, and I noticed DJI is selling refurb Phantom 3 standards for only $360, I firgured maybe pick one up to practice with and then sell it on craigslist once my Mavic arrives. What are everyone's thoughts on using the P3 to learn on while I wait? Was thinking I could hopefully recoup most my $ on craigslist once the Mavic Pro comes in. Thoughts?

You might be able to get it cheaper by just buying used from your local craigslist. Just make sure the seller lets you see a test flight first!

If you have never flown drones before, I would suggest buying the P3S refurb or another inexpensive drone before you take your $1,000 investment to the skies without being an experienced pilot.

Agreed. Craigslist right off the bat might be your best bet.
