I made the mistake of googling drone accidents... i will pass on hand catching. one small mistake, wind gust, mishap and you can have blades coming in contact with your arm.
When I try and catch my mav out of the sky as soon as I have my hand in it.. It starts to try and fly higher and It's too strong for me to hold it down.. What setting do you use to catch mid air? Turned off VPS?
now just grab from the rear of the aircraft. Also the blades are spinning at a minimum speed i don't expect much injury if my hand got caught. I find there is plenty of room the get a good grip. practice i fly a lot from a apartment balcony. be safe and practice
I've seen people grab the aircraft and lower their hand while the motors are still spinning so the aircraft tries to lever itself and it slips from their hand and then you have extremely fast spinning props against your flesh.
If you must hand catch, it's better to turn off the VPS and after catching hold your hand in the air until the props have stopped.

Just for my reference, the green light does a single flash. If I understand correctly, that means that it's in GPS lock without VPS?
