I know that surely this is rudimentary, but I can't find the .bin file for my X5R firmware anywhere.  DJI go says to follow the tutorial in Acadamy, but there are no tutorials there for just the camera firmware, only the copter itself.  All tutorials I've seen point me to a page which doesn't seem to exist... the DJI site only lists copter firmware, not camera firmware, even on the downloads page for the X5R specifically.  
Where do I find this file?  Please post a link.

Thank you, but this is the same page I've been seeing.  The tutorials show a link on this page for "X5R Firmware" but there isn't one.  Only this:

The inspire firmware isn't the same as camera firmware, so I'm looking for a direct download link for camera firmware.

Updating the camera will update the aircraft if there are updates for the aircraft when you go to the Inspire collection of upgrades and not the Osmo ones.

The problem is, I can't update the camera, because I can only download the firmware for the aircraft.

My aircraft firmware is up to date.  9.01.30.  When I attempt to start the update process anyway using that firmware, the aircraft ignores it entirely. I've reformatted the card, re-downloaded the firmware, used the same process as with past aircraft updates. No update process occurs, and every other time I restart the aircraft I still get a warning up upgrade the camera.

None of this is making sense.  My camera firmware is 9.10.10.  Can anyone verify what the latest X5R is?

Correction - typo, the camera firmware is 1.9.1.10

Don't sweat it, just ignore the warning, you aren't missing anything. One thing to do not to get the error message is to start RC, aircraft and then remote control. 1.9.1.10 is really fine in the worst case.

Well I agree it hasn't caused me any problems the last few days. Is anyone out there using newer firmware in their X5R than 1.9.1.10?  If so, I'd love to know how they got it. And if not, is everyone getting this message, or should I consider it an anomaly?  I guess I'll take it up with support, but yes, no issues otherwise.

The difference between 1.9.1.10 and 1.9.1.30 is that with the former, you'll occasionally get a warning that VPS has failed. This is corrected with the later firmware but unless you are doing ground hugging flights, this shouldn't concern you.

It is very weird that the camera won't update. If you have nothing better to do, you can load up the older 'official version' of the FW on an SD card and install it. This will downgrade you. If you can't downgrade, something is odd is afoot.

The X5R is a mature product now and its unlikely there will be any new upgrades. Some of us had problems with 'No Transmission' messages earlier but it was discovered (at least by myself) that they were due to faulty connections between the camera and the aircraft and not firmware problems.

Actually already tried the downgrade, which worked, then re-upgraded. Camera firmware was restored again to 1.9.1.10.  I'm not going to worry about it.  Thanks for the help.

In the future go to DJI.com,    then Imaging solutions tab, then X5R, then find the "Downloads Page" Like in pic below , this will take you to you there .  Kinda hidden .

Yes, this is where I've been going, but there's no firmware for download that's specifically for the camera, as opposed to the aircraft. One of the tutorials I found showed a screen shot of that page, WITH a download link for camera firmware, but I've never seen that.

DJI has changed how they named downloads and how some components are updated over time. Please be advised that the camera's firmware package is combines with the aircraft's firmware package. Not all firmware versions have updates for the camera, the same thing can happen with the aircraft. Looking at the release notes will tell you what component that the update will effect and how the firmware versions will read in the about section of your app.

For example, the latest aircraft version is v01.09.01.30 and the camera version is v01.09.01.10. If your running older firmware on bothe components, the v01.09.01.30 firmware file will also upgrade the camera to v01.09.01.10. If your running the current aircraft firmware and the camera has older firmware than what's above, then only the camera will be updated when you run the v01.09.01.30 .BIN file on the camera. The opposite is true should the aircraft firmware have older firmware than the camera.

All the Inspire 1 models (I1 V2 with the X3, I1 Pro with the X5, and the I1 Raw with the X5R) firmware files have the exact same aircraft versions, but contain different camera firmware packages). Should you have both and X3 and an X5R, you can use either camera to update the aircraft, but will need to change cameras and firmware downloads should you need to update the other camera.

I hope this helps clarify.

Thank you, yes this is helpful... it just doesn't explain why I'm still getting notices to upgrade, but I'll get used to it :-)

Which component is it asking you to update? Could you please provide a screenshot of Overall Status section and of the About section?
