Hi Guys

I am new to DJI and just brought a P3. I also brought a extra battery from Amazon and was wondering if it was a fake ?. Main reason lots of Chinesse writing as the original battery does not have any. Wondering if anyone could offer some advise please. Regards

If it says Phantom on it probably real. Most fakes do not say phantom.

I don't know of any fakes that say Phantom on it. I'd go with, if it says Phantom, in large font, then it should be genuine.

Does it work with the P3S?

Just a heads up, as the DJI reps are going to tell you real soon anyway. Your avatar is not going to fly with them as it's against forum rules. Only DJI reps are allowed to have DJI logos.

I've checked the SN, it's the real battery, please do not worry about it. When you put in the battery to aircraft, you will get an notice that "non DJI official intelligent battery, aircraft cannot take-off" on the APP screen if it's not real.

Does this message also show on the Phantom 4 and the Dji Go 4 app?

I have bought a second hand Phantom 4 including a total of 4 batteries. 2 of them I suspect to be fake, the serial numbers are:

082AD710310608
082AD7J03102AT

The symbols  on the batteries is different from the two others. None of them have the red triangle with flames in symbol on the backsi

One of them is supposed to be brand new (zero charging cycles), but it is totally dead. I am not able to charge it at all. My charging hub is genuine Dji.

Perhaps DJI make minor changes over time.
I have 5 batteries and none have a red triangle, flames or red anything anywhere.

To OP .... does it work ? If it powers up the P3S - then what are you worried about ?

If the battery is a bad fake - it won't power up. They do not suddenly just stop working in flight - that's a myth.

Anyway - its also not totally correct that clone battery's will get warning message in the APP ..... thousands of owners are using clone battery's as I do ... with no problems at all. I fully appreciate DJI position on this but fact is - clones do work.

They exist for the P3 but not the P4.

DJI contract their batterys .... so are you REALLY sure that a P4 battery clone is not out there ?

Anyway - I thought this thread was in the P3 Std section ... ? Guy posting the P4 batterys needs to consider where to post !! LOL

Thomas, I checked both batteries SN, they are DJI official intelligent batteries, no worries.
Besides, if they are fake, after power on the drone and run the DJI GO APP, you will see the notification on the APP screen.

May I know where you purchased the battery?
Nothing happens when pressing the power button, right?
If it's totally dead, you could contact the dealer where you purchased it to help you handle it or send it to DJI .

I tried to make it unambiguous.
No-one has yet found any clone or fake P4 batteries - they just don't exist.

I just find it surprising .... there must be quite a few P4's out there and with the P4A now out ... makes it even more attractive to someone to clone.

Bought the drone second hand with two new batteries. One works perfect and was brand new - the other is totally dead.
Where do I send it? (Dji address?).
Will try to find out where it was bought.

You did not get the invoice or purchase proof for the drone and batteries? It is an important proof to claim for the warranty.
You can contact the dealer for a replacement since it's brand new battery firstly.
