Hi,

I have been looking all over the internet to understand the differences and how to use the long exposure setting on my osmo mobile. I see two options, one that looks like a comet and another one.
Where can I find what each one means, its use, etc?

Thanks

That's funny. I've had the same issue. I thought I was just doing something wrong. I'm interested in learning how to do this. I'm up on the Great Lake, I was looking forward the next time the Northern Lights came around.

I have the Osmo Mobile 2.

I found that the long exposure mode takes a bunch of images and then averages the result. Hence, if you take a long exposure of a waterfall the end image smooths out the water.

If you use light trails it keeps the brightest pixel from every image. This is better for fireworks.

The tricky part is starting and stopping the process without shaking the camera.

Be aware that these “processed” images are dumbed down to 1000x750 pixels.

Long Exposure = smooth waterfall

Light Trail = maximum pixel
