I am not able to connect my p4p to my PC using the dji assistant.
I tried a dji driver install but still wont connect.
Also in device manager shows that there is a missing driver ''CDC Serial''
The SD card is recognized and can be opend.


Using Windows 8.1
dji assistant 1.08

Have you restarted your computer? And do you have the P4P turned on?

yes and yes have tried also on another pc with no lock same exact problem.

must update the DJI assistant 2 before it will show the P4pro models.  donnie

as already said i am using the latest version of dji assistant

Do you have anti-virus or firewalls installed on your PC? if so, please turn it off, then install Assistant 2 again.
If you still cannot get it connected, please try to change the USB cables and restart it again.

Tried this a minute ago.
Disabled all my anti-virus softwares and firewalls.
Butt still no connection only sd card is showing up.
Also still have a CDC Serial Driver missing.

I have the same problem with the dji assist program and my p4, I have tried installing 3 times now with all virus and firewall turned off,logging in and out ,different leads from the p4 to pc and nothing I do will get the programme to even acknowledge the p4, pc is running win 8.1, keeping an eye on this thread hopefully for a good outcome

Please check the following info on your PC:
1. Whether there is the "usbser.sys" file under "C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers”?
2.Whether there is a file named by "mdmcpq.inf_amd64_neutral_fbc4a14a6a13d0c8" under C:\Windows\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository\?

If no, please click on the link below, extract it and put the file under "C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers", then create a file naming "mdmcpq.inf_amd64_neutral_fbc4a14a6a13d0c8", then put the "usbser.sys" into it.
At last, please install the assistant 2 again. Here is the link for you to download "usbser.sys" file: http://download.dji-innovations.com/downloads/driver/usbser-cn.zip

files were missing but it still won't recognizes the phantom 4 pro after adding the files.

Same here ,files missing ,followed your instructions and will still recognise  the P4

I have downloaded DJI ASSISTANT 1.0.7 and my P4 connects to it straight away

same problem here with the connection to my mavic, i want to do a vps calibration, but i can't.
same missing file, everything up to date, the file creation and drag and drop don't solve the problem, no connection!
is there an older version of dji assistant anywhere to download??

DJI assistant 1.08 or 1.07 doesn't work for me.  On multiple pcs. It worked for me a couple weeks ago.  Wanting to refresh my firmware.  Any solution yet DJI.  I have tried the things listed above.  It shows the mavic plugged in, i can even see the firmware in the back ground of the log in prompt.  I can browse the micro sd, so i know its connected.  I know my internet is working as i have speedtested the internet and it works on other devices.  I have restarted pc, restarted Mavic, reset password, what gives with this stuff.  Anyways i guess i'll wait to see if it works later today.

Natalia, please take into consideration that not all of us are technically competent to go into files in WINDOWS to accomplish what you suggested for Tarbax and if the issue is software that it is DJI's responsibility to fix the problem so we just have to download the app.

The software should be working fine, if it cannot be installed on a PC, we need do some troubleshooting firstly.

Thank you for posting. The DJI Assistant 1.07 now works for win 8.1.

Use version 1.09  deinstall the old version first...

Looking forward to trying this. I had success only with Win.7 64 on a PC I don't regularly have running. My primary PC is Win 8.1 64 and I have tried MANY different methods with no joy.
Please state what OS you are using to help better sort out these issues. That would be helpful✌

I´m using win 8.1 64 bit. I´ve tried the Version 1.0.9, 1.0.8 and 1.0.7. I´ve also looked to the usbser.sys and have the files copied to the folders. But the assistent 2 doen´t find my Phantom 4. I have wrote a Mail to the (german) dji-service and i have phone with the german dji hotline. They don´t have heared from this problem...
What can I do????

I too am having this issue with 3 different PCs running Win. 8.1 (64 bit).
I will make another attempt to get it working this weekend and will post if I have any success.
I was able to get it to work on a Win. 7 (64bit) system, but it's not a PC I keep running and regularly use any more.
Hang in there, DJI must be aware of this issue, and will fix it or give us concrete instructions as to what a proper workaround is.

not resolve..firewall and antiv off..create folder in repository and copied usb file, nothing..
reinstalled, rebboted more time..nothing
RESOLVED installing 1.0.7 version

1.07 indeed works for 8.1 64bit
others do not

The latest DJI Assistant 2 is v 1.1.0-2, March 27th , 2017.  If your version is v 1.08 you must upgrade.

Turn off the ethernet network and try again.
