I recently saw a post where someone was shooting in fog and asking how to process the pic to make it look clear. My advice was not to try at all but rather embrace the fog!
I shot one of my favorite videos on a foggy day and it added a wonderful element.
Here's my video, it was all taken within a few blocks of my house on a foggy morning.

To emulate the fog we get here, I just cut a ping pong ball in half and place it over the camera lens. Perfect reproduction.
