I was up there about two months ago and took my Mavic with the intention of flying but it was a really cold and windy day and I decided it wasn't worth trying. Would really love to try sometime though.

Hi I'm from hickory as well and I'd love to fly around the downtown area to but I'm pretty sure that's a no fly zone so did you have to call the airport? If I'd try it I know hpd would have me behind bars lol

I am also very interested in learning how to optimize the photography and video aspects of drone flights with the P4P+.  Anyone knowing about any classes or seminars, or willing to share their expertise would be greatly appreciated!

Sorry, but I don't know of any groups in WNC.  I mainly use drones for real estate photography and don't usually fly them recreationally.  If I should come across a group I will PM you. Have fun with your drone.

Unfortunately, no.  Estate Policies:   Drones & Aerial Photography:
Use of unmanned aerial vehicles or drones while on Biltmore property is prohibited. Aerial photography of Biltmore House is prohibited without written consent.
