We are wanting to extend the shoot time by using an external battery of a higher voltage  and/or amperage. Does anyone know the tolerances of what the Osmo Plus can handle?

The DJI Osmo battery extender is rated 12-26.1v DC output 11.v 1.5A. Given the losses in the device anything that can supply 12v 2A and higher should be fine.

Has no one (who knows about electronics / voltages etc) put together a combination of
Battery extender
range of cheap power options that connect to it (such as batteries, powerbank, mains units.

I feel I really need something more than just the limited life batteries, but dont know enough about the electronics to source and combine a workable combination that wont goose the OSMO?

All you need is the battery extender (2 pin types, one for phantom 3 batts and one for phantom 4, and they’re now making an adapter for mavic batteries also) and a drone battery. They don’t recommend using any third party power sources
