Hi

Just got my P3P last week and am wanting help making the simplest of videos for youtube.

I have managed to upload videos to youtube, but they are the entire videos(With the dross and rubbish I've captured as well as the good stuff) and i'd like to perhaps edit them down a bit.

I am not having much luck with the DJI Go App as I couldn't download anything 2.7k or above and the lower quality ones I transferred my device didn't like.

So I have a couple of different scenarios i'd like to try and want help with going from order of difficulty upwards.

1) The easiest option. Upload the entire video from my PC, but with music. I believe youtube has non copyrighted video you can attach, but not sure about that.

2) Upload an edited video with music as before.

I'm not looking for any fancy effects or stuff like that just now and just film of what I've captured to music. Any help or tutorials that can be given much appreciated.H

Forget about editing using the DJI Go app, much better to copy the video off the aircraft's SD card onto a computer ands do the editing there. If you don't want a complex editor, try Wondershare Filmora. But be aware the clips are huge in size, and it is much easier if you have a fast SSD on your computer to store and edit them on.

I actually just found in Adobe software and it seems to work okay the trouble I had with a lot of video editors at least with my phone anyway was they would not read the DJI files but this one seems to do so. Adobe clip.

The issues I kept having with the DJI that was it only would allow me to use the ones recorded on the phone I could never do anything with the ones recorded on the SD card even if I transferred them to a directory on the phone

You can do basic editing (no color adjustments) with the Windows included video editor (Movie Maker). Trim/split clips, music, transitions, titles etc.

Are you going to use  DJI Go App? If yes, forget about it! For you as a newbie to the video editing world, I recommend to use http://movie-creator.com/video-editor-for-beginners.html . It seems to be quite suitable for those who want a powerful yet simple editing tool.

YouTube also has a video editor (I've never used it, so I can't give you what I think about it) and has a section of Free Music and Sound Effects that can be used in your videos.

The editor can be found at:  https://www.youtube.com/editor

The Music Library is at: https://www.youtube.com/audiolibrary/music

Also, 2 choices to look at for doing editing that have lots of good tutorial info on YouTube would be iMovie for the Mac and Movie Maker for the PC.

Best of luck!

If you are new to the video editing field, I recommend TunesKit AceMovi to you. It is beginner-friendly and you can use it to do the basic video editing.

Turn to another video editor that is good for you. There are lots of video editing software that is great, such as Adobe Premiere, TunesKit AceMovi, etc. I use both of them, the former is more complicated but super powerful, filmmakers use it too, the latter is much simple, it's suitable for everyone especially the beginners. You can try several programs and choose one or two to use. https://youtu.be/DAGopK3_Vik
