Debugging on or off? Any other settings to make this tab work correctly?Samsung sm-t713. Ive read the older version worked great the new version not so much.

Hello Gmman, please enable the debugging.  Besides, could you please clarify what's the issue with your tab?

Keeps flashing the opening screen before the app opens never opens the app. and when you open the app ahead of time it does not connect to the Mavic.  The only way to get it to work is have the tablet completely powered off and have the RC and Mavic on before turning on the tablet. Then it will connect the tab to the RC.

I kinda think DJI focuses on Apple much more than android.... This Tablet is awesome once I get it to connect. No video latency!  Super picture. Fits into the controller.

Have you used it successfully for flight?  I assume you powered on the S2 after the MC and after the drone?

I have this same issue and you are correct the only way to get it to work is to power completely down and start the app with the controller already connected to the Mavic.

Yes I have had a few flights with it. No video delay, no app crash, no freeze ups. If the connect issue could be resolved it would be a great tablet for my Mavic!

I have the S2 T710 and it has worked flawlessly.  I have heard of others with the 713 having this problem.  They resolved it by doing a factory reset.

Here's my S2, 9.7 inch (model SM-T813) flaking when I try to connect it to the controller too. Looks like the USB is constantly switching between Charging and MTP mode.

What is the Android version on your tablet? The reboot happens on Samsung devices when they found a critical error, which is probably caused by that connection crazyness. Have you tried to cleanup the usb port? Could it be a misscontact? Have you tried another cable? Does the cable go fully into the socket, or stands out (metal side) quite a lot?

From what I've been able to glean from the Internet, it seems samsung tablets models that end with "13" are the one that aren't working right. Mine won't even connect with the work-around some have been able to use where they power on the tablet AFTER the remote and mavic is already connected.

Its a brand new tablet purchased specifically for this purpose. Brand new cables tried several. It is a software issue...

Yes I do have developer mode activated on the tablet and usb debugging turned on.

I have not flown yet with sm-t713, however it does connect with a reboot.  I have not gone to developers mode.  Is there a reason I should activate usb debugging before flying?

If it works without changing it leave it alone. I really hope they resolve the issue with this tablet. It is very nice to fly with...

I have a Samsung Tab 2 SM-T813 running android 6.0.1 and I couldn't get it to connect  Then I  saw this thread. Also found that powering off the tablet, then starting the drone and controller, waiting for them to get ready , then powering on the tablet has worked every time so far.

I have used my Samsung Tab S2 for over a year with my P3S, no problems at all.

I have the SM-T813 and couldn't get it to connect until I tried the following. 1) power off the tablet, 2) power up the controller and the Mavic, Plug the recharge cable into the front USB on the controller and the other end into the tablet 5) power on the tablet and immediately enter your password if one is required.  

Hopefully you will connect and in my case everything works great! I don't think debugging matters but my is IN debugging mode.

I had close to the same problem with my galaxy tab e and i found that if i change usb configuration to RNDIS in developer options the problem went away. You just have to switch it to that every time right before connecting the controller...hope this helps

I went into the developer mode and turned on debug and RNDIS, but that didn't help me. I was able to do the restart steps, but now that doesn't work. Anyone got any ideas?

Please Dji add suport for this tablet

It is annoying but worth the hassle to be able to use the excellent screen. I already have my tab off. I connect the cables. Turn on remote. Turn on tab. Put remote down and then get the mavic ready. Doesn't actually take any more time that way.

I tried it again today and after 3 tries I was finally able to connect. It is just frustrating to have jump through all of these hoops to fly
